我會prefer Canford，成績係三間入面最好，AAB有48%(Lancing 44% Cheltenham 32%)，學費都係最平，雖然都過10000磅...

我地親身去過覺得雖然細左d但環境唔錯交通算方便
另外學費可接受(9855磅) 成績都好

這個學校以前只做英國本地人學生，近3年開始收本地學生
我有個學校在裡面讀，MARYXXXXT 女孩子，我都好喜歡那個學校
MONMOUTH 太遠了，所以不考慮

對於想去英國就讀中學的學生來說，提前做好英語準備是十分有必要的，這樣可以節省出國學習英語的時間。如果學生條件允許的話，可以高一結束以後再去，利用高一的這一年時間打好英語基礎，然後去英國就能夠直接讀A-level課程。
最近也有一些諮詢申請英國GCSE和A-level課程的學生，那麼在申請英國GCSE或者A-level課程的時候，大家應該注意什麼呢？
首先要把握好申請時間，對於英國寄宿中學來說，由於學校的寄宿名額有限，同時要對英國本土學生和國際學生開放，大部分的寄宿中學在3——4月就已經滿額了，因此建議學生最好提前一年半就開始申請。
其次，學生要瞭解學校的申請條件。英國寄宿中學一般在招生的時候會參考學生的成績以及在讀的中學背景，大多數的學校都會要求申請者參加學校的入學考試以及面試，校方在面試的過程中會瞭解學生的大體情況，面試官一般比較喜歡有獨立思維和自立能力的學生。
另外，由於學生年齡偏小，對未來的學習可能沒有計劃，這個時候需要家長和學生一起深入溝通，找到學生興趣點，選擇適合的課程以及課外活動等。寄宿中學收取的費用已經包含上課的學費和住宿費用，家長在準備留學經費的時候需要做好預算。
最後，英國學校的宿舍安排大都遵循低年級住多人間、高年級住單人間的原則，學生如果申請的是GCSE課程，則一般情況下是要與別人合住一間房，而申請A-LEVEL課程的年長學生多半是獨立住的單間，如果這類學生想要與人合住，則需要提早向學校申請，說明自己的訴求。住宿環境對於留學生來說是一個不容忽視的大問題，它直接關係到學生未來的學習情況，在這裡提醒家長和學生們要提前諮詢，提早做準備。許多學校都建議如果條件允許，家長儘量帶孩子一同前往實地參觀。

You want to enquire about Sixth Form or more junior forms?
I think it is quite good in terms of academic results. On the other hand, it is close to the town area, so rather convenient for boarders to get their necessities (and to have Chinese food!) I remember there are not many boarders, more day students. I have had a tour of the school led by a current student and from what she told me, it seems the students are rather happy there and like the school. In fact i also spoke with a current student (from HK) during a UK school exhibition in HK and that HK student also seemed happy with the school.
So all in all, my feeling of the school is quite good. But of course, it depends on what your other choices are.

Thank you very much for your information. My son wants to go at year 10, but I want him to go at year 12 due to financial consideration.
What other choices at the comparable budget will you recommend?
Abington? Tonbridge? Uppingham?
I learnt these names from my friends and AA leaflet

It might be helpful talking to a couple of agents and see what schools they recommend to start with, in order to get some rough idea. At the end of the day, you do not necessarily have to apply through them.
If your son has British or EU passport, you may consider to apply for UK government schools (other parents here will be able to provide more names and info).
There are also some very very top UK boarding schools to which you have to apply directly, examples include Westminster, Eton, Harrow, Winchester etc.
