My girl is an Oct bunny girl and now she's in a traditional school for K1.
I think at the beginning i have the same struggling process as you - whether to let her be a small or big b? Then i just let her try PN class as small b first and see how she's like. And as expected my gal didnt get offers from the very famous PN school. but it doesnt matter as i just want her to learn and try. And maybe coz she's small b she's physcially not as strong as big b - she can just attend class for max 2 hrs and then she'll feel asleep. in the first month i then request the school to let her leave earlier so she can get adapted to school life easier (dont think the famous pn school will allow). and in the first half of the semester my gal cannot concentrate usually in the second half of the class as she's too sleepy. however in the second half of the year, seems she's more energy to handle the whole 3 hrs class and can pay attention in the second half. For her learning the first half of the year she;s just simply dreaming. but starting from ard CNY tiem she starts to mention some of her classmates names to me and also a very brief descruiption wot she did in school. However as she's small b, she starts her K1 interview before the PN class starts so unlike the big b they've already benefit from few months training in pn. So if you're considering if studying in PN will help the K1 interview, then i think it may not necessary. but if you wanna take it as a chance to see if your bb can adapted to be a small b then i think it's ok. Worse come to worst you can stop your pn at any time if you think it's not necessary for her. We are lucky enough to have an offer from a dragon school for K1 as a small b. as a starting point most of her classmates are advanced of her. but as other parents coment she may gradually pick up in later K1 and earlier K2, i will see how she goes and decide to repeat or not. There's seems not a need now as i can see when she plays with her peer who's mostly big b she kinda pick up what they're doing. so if there's no problem w her development i dont think i will get her repeat.

Hi Bunnygirl, which PN your daughter studied? My son had borned in Dec, 13. I'm searching some PN for him next year.
Sushimama, 我一心想囝囝做細B的, 不過始終都要有學校俾機會先得, 下星期六要interview 了, 我囝囝仲未識行同未識講野, 都唔知點in =.=.

我都諗, 佢可能一入去INTERVIEW 就已喊,可以走了....

Ling Liang Church and cannan both accept my small girl. My strategy is just to let her try first. if she really cannot do it i'll go for a second plan. So far i can see she merges in well with her big b classmates and she also has well influence from the big b (they're usually more behave). Dont give them too much pressures as every child is different. Do repsect their own learning time table.

我諗老師都會睇ＢＢ月份來評估番應該有的表現，同埋觀察家長同ＢＢ相處，有得in就in左先，當同小朋友去玩下，不用擔心，我Ｂ囡６月，interview 時見到年頭同年尾的Ｂ，真係好大分別的，平常心

我仔係13年12月尾B, in 左ANCHOR, 一班小朋友圍住一枱玩具玩, 老師在旁觀察,亞b表現唔錯, 但最後都係無收. 當係攞個經驗.

我個個都係11月尾細B呀, 本來以為連INTERVIEW的機會都無點知竟然收到信叫我去INTERVIEW, 我同老公笑左好耐心諗咁細去到做墊底

不過都想去睇下有咩玩，咪當上左一堂PLAYGROUP囉, 我地無咩期望，入到當託兒一年，入唔到係理所當然，當日開開心心去玩一個鐘當去見識下！

大家細B家長都要加油呀，最緊要BB開心，讀書嘅野成世有排讀啦~~

我都係咁諗, 當返playgroup囉, 唔好太大壓力。好多媽媽都話小朋友會自己選擇學校的, 佢鐘意間學校就會表現得好架啦, 如果入到去喊, 收咗佢都讀得唔開心。

平常心，去參觀下學校，了解下老師職員，睇下interview其實係點。真係一間都唔得咪下年黎過。攞個經驗。最緊要行程唔好咁緊密，個人認為一日最多in兩間好了，唔好畀佢覺得去學校玩係苦事。

On waiting list is better than reject that mean you still have chance. School tends to take big b; however a baby can only accept one offer. There will be many seats release in Jun/ Jul when some parents finally make up their mind which one to take (dont expect taking two schools for PN). Do write letter to school and this can distinguish you from rest of waiting list. My baby also get call waiting for a PN with a kinder backup.

I feel sad cuz many schools only tell us to check availability with them again next June, that means my sept girl can only get into a kindergarten when other big babies reject their slots

我個囡13年9月尾，暫時有英藝pm同好時光am offer，interview當日，好時光就拎起個圈入落條柱。。。英藝就士玩fisher price隻豬仔錢箱。。。我個囡先得1歲，跟本一樣都做唔做，入錢箱。。。將D野入曬落個口就得，所以細B未必一定唔得，有D睇彩數既，但of course平日你要比小小training佢，所謂既training其實只不過係同佢落多D街，講多D野，小朋友見多D係真係會精靈D。只要報多幾間pn就唔洗驚

Thanks Bunnygirl for your detail elaboration. I also wanna my BB to study in PN to learn discipline and social skills. Just wanna him to get in a happy school...

So far, he got an PM offer in Zenith... waiting for fulful result.... will have interview at York in late Dec.....but seems that all these 3 schools focus on academic, right? anyone got comments abt the schools [ie, happy school or not?]

are there any happy schools (i.e., v few homework if possible, friendly teachers) that other mamas can suggest us to try our luck [Kowloon side, near Mei Foo / Kowloon Tong is acceptable] .
