Both are good school, maybe you can try to apply both first.

Thanks for all comments. Is it hard for Australian citizens to get in AIS? Because I heard the AIS waitlist is quite long and some people said we have to apply 2 years ahead!

The school website tells you when you should apply.  I also want to know if it's difficult for Aussie passport holders to apply.  Anyone know?

Those with aussie passports should be priority, maybe you can call up the school to double check

I want to see how RC interview goes, if the answer is negative I will go for AIS. But just worry by that time it would be too late to apply for AIS.

For AIS, it's true that you have to apply at least 2 year ahead, even you are Australian passport holder.  Those with aussie passports do have a priority, but the waiting list is very long.

For those who have siblings studying at AIS will have extra priority, and could push your up to the top tier waiting list.
