Does anyone know the minimum/average/safety IB score for HKU/CUHK's MBBS in 2014?How does this depend on your PG? Or is the final IB grade the only thing that matter?

PG 41/45

HKU - Strictly reject in Jan
CUHK - receive email from CU in Mar, application is pending for final result, may have interview at 25/Jul if actual result reach their benchmark..

Actual 43/45
HKU - knocking HKU's door on the next day after actual IB result release. HKU calls for interview 1 day after. So, it is proven that door can be re-opened if actual result reach their standard even rejection letter is sent.

CU - although CU says interview will be held on 25/Jul, we don't want to wait for that long. We knock CU's door too. Interview is granted 2 days later (2 weeks earlier than the scheduled 25/Jul). Get offer 3 days after interview. So, be positive and aggressive. Response quickly and don't wait.

Would it be the case that the top students choose CU instead of HKU because of CU' Global Leadership Scheme in which students are allowed to skip the first year?

GPS only for 20 students and not included in MBChB. Min is 44/45, nothing to do with this.

Cut off should be 42 for both Us.

Do you mean economic is more difficult than history or vice versa

My son took Econ (SL). I think Econ is less difficult than History.

I think other factors also count in addition to the student's IB score.

Only 2% got 7 in History HL but over 12% got 7 in Economics HL in May 2013 IB exam:
