我鼓勵大量閱讀，but the effect has not yet reflected on my kids academic result. 中、英語文能力效果並不如你們所說的好像 a piece of cake 一般acquire. 我都唔知那裏出了問題

我在書店翻閱了很多中文的補充練習, 發現CLASSROOM(課室)出的最好, 你可以參考一下.

除了閱讀外, 適量的基本練習是必須的.
吸收之外,也要實際運用.

我既諗法一樣 ~ 除了閱讀以外, 適量的練習是必須的。我個女平時都好鍾意睇書, 只係我打算買啲補充練習比佢, 用作考試前溫習之用。

我個人覺得成功出版社果本閱讀理解聆聽練習唔錯。主力係閱讀同聆聽。文章水準同問題設計比較好。

想問問,中文及英文的聆聽練習,有得聽CD果種,邊度可以找到,商務/中華這種大書店有沒有呢,THANKS!^^

我覺得解決方案不是邊一本補充練習是最好，而是邊本補充練習是比較合適這個小朋友。

Reading helps acquire vocab, writing skills. Exercises book helps on testing skills. Since in HK, the school system focus a lot on testing papers, so testing skills are essential too!

I think I can understand your problem, because my elder reads alot but she doesn't acquire the essence of the books as much as I thought, and it takes her longer time to do so comparing to other kids. This is just the same as some kids acquire knowledge quicker than others. So I don't think just reading a lot will work for all kids, some kids absorbs the substance independently without help. But mine don't. So I need to ask her to do extra in addition to just reading more.

I choose exercises books that are of similar approach as their schools' test and exams, in addition to fitting the kid's learning style.
