Not sure whether anything changed since our last interview.

For our cases, there was no interview for parent.

Only kids were interview informally.
They were asked to draw pictures and write their names on the corner of the pictures.
Teachers read stories to them.

For year 2 interview, kids would be asked to read books to teachers too.

It is not called as a parent interview, but a parent meeting should be hold with principle or vice priciple or administration staff, one on one.

Angelsnowy, are you interviewing for Year 1 entry? If so, then it is as described above. If you are interviewing for Year 2/3/4/5/6, then there will be additional testing in line with the Year level.

Regarding transition from Primary (Year 6) to Secondary (Year 7), all students entering before the end of Year 5 will be guaranteed a place in ESF secondary in their catchment. For those entering ESF in Year 6, if they do so before December of that school year, they are guaranteed a place but not necessary in the same catchment. For those entering Year 6 in January and after, they are not guaranteed a place but will be given high priority.
