尋日專門走去屯門看哈羅國際學校，覺得真係唔錯，但好難入，有冇同樣有興趣概家長大家可以交流下？

Basically you need to apply from birth nowadays for entry grades.

I just called them yesterday that not sure if they accept earlier application, can only 75 places for Hk passport students, extremely tough to get in, we are considering to buy Individual Capital Certificate to get a place

"Earlier" as in before birth? No school in HK accepts applications before birth, as they need the child's birth certificate. 75 places sounds like a lot, but do you mean the entire school? How many spots per grade? I heard they have only 10-20 spots per PN/K1 level. What is the age of your child right now?

My boy is 5m old and plan to submit the K1 application which start from 3 yrs. maybe I made mistake, K1 new students may less than 150, but too many students have different priorities, such as ICC& CCC nominees, current students' sibling and staffs' children are first priority, they got 4 different level of priorities to get in schools, so very very low possibility if just send application and wait for interview/test, that's that we wanna spend $3000K purchase ICC to get the first priority

Given your child is still young do apply ASAP. I didn't study much about their priorities but as long as you think it's worth it do go ahead. Is ICC refundable? Is it like a debenture which you can sell back to other parents through the school,when your child graduates?

Harrow only accepts applications two years before. My daugter got a place for K1 this coming August. U will not be offered for debenture unless u got offers....

So great!! How old is ur daughter now? And how to get in this school? I'm not sure about if ICC or CCC can definitely be offered a place, I'm not gonna go for debenture as it's only the third priority to be offer the place

My daughter is three years old now. U will not be offered ICC unless u are accepted. Also 3 millions ICC is compulsory to all kimdergarden students. Sorry, the one I got is ICC not debenture.....

Only be offered ICC unless the kids has been accept, that make sense, that's why I was confused by their website. So is it the process like, send application 2 years before, then get chance to interview etc? Then wait for the result see if pass or not, right? Hmm..may I have ur number if you don't mind, then we can chat via whatsapp, cos I'm still quite confused by their information and really wanna know how to help the kids to get the offer, many thanks!!

I agree it is confusing. We applied when my boy was 1.5 for their PN and then K1, but still haven't received any interviews. He is now 3.5 and is going to our top target school so I'm not calling harrow back to follow up. It sure had been confusing all the way though.

So u mean ur girl has already received their offer although she hasn't attended any interview yet? U bought the ICC after received the offer? Is that means, ur girl will be definitely accepted by the school?

My girl was called for interview this March n was accepted by Harrow for K1. Three millions ICC is compulsory for all kindergarten students. For primary n secondary students, can have a choice for either capital levy/debenture or ICC. Coz they have only like 15 places for PN n most of them are kept for teachers' daughter/son n siblings. So is better apply K1 which has about 30 places available. Although some of the places are for siblings, the chance is better....

My son will start K2 after the summer holiday....we only submitted our application in Feb 15. After the submission we received invite to attend the assessment. 2 weeks later we were offered a place at the K2 class. Heard that the school open up a new K2 class next school year, that's why more places became available. Otherwise, chance to get into K2 is very slim.

My daughter will be starting in coming August too in K1. Had to buy ICC once we got the offer. We applied in 2011 December. Didn't hear from them till Feb/Mar. But will be sad to leave her current school at Kingston she enjoyed it so much.

If she is happy with the current school, why do you want to change?

Because its not a true though train school for secondary, plus their strong strength in sports, music, drama and arts. So its not only about academic results but she can explore or excel in other areas too

No. Just ICC and normal school fees. Can resell ICC at market value later when finished.
