I wonder what they teach a 12-month baby with a charge of $5200/month. Any sharing? Really appreciate it.

It is quite far from where we live, and we actually have a Victoria playgroup that is about 15-20 minutes walking distance. Unless ITT is really much better than Victoria, otherwise, I'd rather save time spent on transportation because I really do not want my baby to get over-tired.

Also wonder if we do not accept the ITT offer now, what's the chance of going there in a later stage, say around 1.5-2 year old. Shall I assume that once the spot is taken for the 12-months baby, no parent will give up so the chance of joining at later stage is very slim?

I know people who did not receive an offer for the First Step class (1-1.5yr) but later received offer for the Head Start class (1.5-2yr), because the class size of Head Start is much bigger than the class size of First Step.
However, the question is, if you REJECT their offer this time, will they still extend you an offer for Head Start?

Most people aim for braemar hill and want Victoria as backup. Their kids go ITT 3 times a week pm.and Victoria 3 times week. Am.

Don't know how they fit nap time in.

But if you are keen to get into ITT n ewant to keep Vic as fallback. Would you consider moving to Ap Lei Chau close to ITT and Souyh Horizon Vic playgroup?

thank you very much! i also do not want to sacrifice my baby's nap for play group...

i wonder if neither the parents are St. Paul Coed alumni, what's the probabilty of getting admission from Braemar hill? my husband is a Hong Kong local but he grew up in Singapore, while I am originally from Shanghai. how much they weigh on parents background versus baby's performance?

My kid is studying in ITT now and will start PN at BH in August. Most of us are attending both Victoria and ITT at the same time. 3 days at ITT and 2 days at Victoria. Those of us who got BH offers will give up Victoria.

For first steps, the 1.5 hour class is divided into six 15 minutes sessions including, sensory room, gym, music, art, Cantonese class and eng/mandarin class. For headstart, it will be 3 classes per week and a class is divided into 30 minutes each. The teachers are caring and very professional. On average two teachers per session.

For Victoria, it's a two hours class with the first hour with a Cantonese teacher and second hour with an English teacher. It is less intensive when compared with ITT but the teachers are very nice and patient too.

If you give up first step at ITT, I doubt if you can get a place in headstart as the teachers told me there is a long queue for their places and your rejection may be seen as not interested in their playgroup. If you target BH, you better take your kid to playgroup every class at ITT. As for Victoria, most of the kids are accompanied by helper.

My kid started Victoria when he was 8 months and ITT when he was 1 year old. So if you ask me whether 10 months is too soon then my answer is not.

One thing about Victoria playgroup is that, if you really wan to get in, just like Braemar Hill, parent should accompany child and not maid.

Seen a case where maid bringa baby to both ITT and Vic pg and end up no offer for PN from both sides.
