想請問呢個課程只係中學部時才需要選擇, 對嗎?

IGCSE 後年(2016)九月開辦,不過出年九月升G10同學就要決定考DSE 定 IGCSE,學校己經出咗通告比今年G8同學問定大家意向,夠唔夠人開班,費事請咗老師又唔夠人開班。小學部不適用!

分享會中校長講是外聘有經驗的老師回來,仲要潻致更多設備,例如實驗室之類,所以igcse班學費會貴三成。

其他重點係學校做埋UCAS CENTER, 即係學校自已幫同學報英國大學,唔洗靠街外人,算係優勢掛;至於香港多唔多老師懂得教IGCSE ,咁就唔清楚,不過我見出面補習社有IGCSE讀,即該唔難掛!請其他家長賜教!

小學組好似同G8仲有點距離, 我見中學組EK果邊都無人覆~~
如果見到學兄姐們辦得成功，同埋睇返小朋友的志向, 我會考慮選擇IGCSE^^
(同級有無家長WHATSAPP群組? 家教會意向如何? 上個月去學校聽講座, 見家教會好團結和諧^^)

請問中學部的同學仔是grade 幾考igcse?因朋友說igcse等如我們以前中五會考的課程，如要報讀海外大學，要再考gce的考試，即我們以前的alevel.咁中學部的同學考完igcse後學校是否會再安排同學考gce?因我不太認識，故希望多作了解，謝謝

igcse等於或略低於香港中學會考hkce, 一般本地中學會安排中四(g10)學生應考, 考完(g11-12)再修讀ibdp, wkf不ib學校, 應該會安排學校考gce AL.

我記得4月初見中學部陳校長， 他說學校將開辦GCE AL 課程， 因他深信這條路學生會有更好的升學途徑， 因GCE AL 的歷史悠久， 認授性比DSE. 強。

IGCSE - It is based on the GCE O-Level , The IGCSE was developed by University of Cambridge International Examinations and Edexel.
當然可以,由於DSE問題, G8 and G9 有十分多學生離開去外國讀原因中文科入大學要求, 老實難得一間能校方開拓IGCSE and Alevel , 一來不一定要去外國讀, 二來如果學費加30% 去到$6000 一定平過外國或國際學校，三來多個選擇 !

I had studied in the UK, and GCSE is普通中學文憑考試，主要比Year 10-11 students to study about 8-10 subjects include 5 core subjects are English Maths Phyics Bio and Chem, and IGCSE is same as GCSE but it is more suitable for intanational students and most of HK intanational schools will use it coz it will easier to 函接IBYP, but most of the UK schools will use GCE during Year 12 and 13, then they need to choose 3-4 subjects which they prefer to study.
Also my children are 3 and 2 years old and we live in the UK as well, coz here is better than HK.

WKF have communication session on last Friday evening regarding DSE and IGCSE proposals. Not sure how many students will study IGCSE after this communication session.

As far as I know, DSS should have more then 50% students take D S E, is W K F going to let 51% students taking dse and 49% students taking gce?

The communication session only offered to secondary school students. Based on the feedback on that day, a lot of students will chose DSE, but also there are a majority of students keep silence, still thinking, no decision yet.

It is strange that its primary school has good reputation but secondary school has high drop out rate. Can you trust its GCE program if it cannot even honestly tell you the past DSE passing rate?

首先家長揀選WKF必須先了解學校的課程與一般傳統學校有別, 及家長對學生的學習要求並不只局限在DSE 成績。其次王錦輝為一條龍中小學，無需考呈分試，等如從來無人提及國際學校屬於BAND 幾因為根本不能相提並論 ! 本身王錦輝創校原意想加入IB 課程但於2008年暫時擱置。WKF 小學部的課程較活動互動，比小朋友多發言多創意卻少背少抄，與DSE 一般死背死谷的考試模式有別。如中學部加入較歷史悠久又得到國際性認可的IGCSE 課程，亦是家長與學生的一大喜訊！如果以香港傳統填鴨式教學心態去睇WKF，當然WKF不會是家長心目中杯茶，只可以說人各有志^^ WKF 2006創校，下屆G10部份即係一手一腳湊大的親生仔，學校應該更清楚知道學生會比較適合邊一類型的公開試。所以對於 閣下的提問, 家長會否對WKF 開辦IGCSE課程有信心, 我深信選擇IGCSE 的家長自會心中有數^^

Drop outs mainly went study abroad - which is understandable cos many parents picking WKF have plans to send their children abroad starting from the very beginning
