Are u meaning Year 1? Kids who will start ESF Year 1 this Aug should be at the age equivalent to K3 in Victoria. The VSA admission result doesn't seem to be released for those kids yet (maybe not until Jun). How does that work? Is your child in upper years and you are not meaning Year 1?

Congratulations! Both are good schools.
Both schools ultimately run IB and are through-train. Between a school with a better academic record & one where Chinese is taught as an important subject, which one would you prefer?
Also, please specify which ESF school your child got accepted into as one school can be quite different from another.

You are so lucky!
Choose VSA if you believe Chinese is also important~~~

ask yourself is overall education more important to you and your child, or Chinese is more important to you and your child. If you rate Chinese as more important, then even VSA may be a wrong school, perhaps you should look at CMI local schools.

Great suggestion!
Just wondering though, I heard many kids in ESF does not like studying chinese. Is it mainly a parental issue or that the school environment partly contributes to the attitude? (Or that one affects the other?)
Any ESF Chinese learning success story to help, or failure cases to warn those applying?
Anyhow, given the IS or PIS is being chosen, we all know Chinese must be sacrificed to a certain degree. It's just a matter of how much to give up in order to trade for something better, and if what we get in return is worth it (each family has to answer that one personally)
