Kelly Yang Project教writing唔錯，我知佢另外有vocabulary and grammar但我小朋友無上過唔清楚質素如何。

我小朋友咪上緊Kelly Yang Project的writing class囉,我覺得教得唔錯，但我小朋友比你囡囡大好多，上的是critical reasoning,應該同適合你囡囡的creative writing or vocabulary and grammar係完全不同，或者你趁暑假上下佢d summer course先，咪知啱唔啱囉。

視乎咩科咩年紀，通常低年班平d.我小朋友上開$450一堂，每堂一個鐘。我見暑假d班$6xx起一堂，但每堂兩個鐘。

其實港島區仲有好多學writing的centre,好似Primary Matters, Capstone, Elephant Community Press etc.反而九龍想揾似樣d嘅無囉。

請問Critical thinking writing 升中二適合讀嗎？内容？

佢哋Critical reasoning分Introductory(10-11歲）；Intermediate (12-13歲）及 advanced (13歲以上），所以升中二應該適合。我小朋友上Introductory,每堂要完成一篇persuasive essay.開始時會一齊go through 一篇article,每次內容都不同，好似有caning punishment, caffeine inhalers, use of Photoshop, nature of public servants, tiger parents 等,老師會go through他們不明白的concepts 或唔識嘅字，然後係class discussion,每人有機會發表意見或論點。之後就準備寫essay，老師有叫佢哋plan 好每一個argument 有什麼supporting evidence,組織好所有arguments and ideas 才寫，其實佢哋個個都知一篇essay要有introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion,不過係要慢慢先掌握到呢種組織能力。另外老師都會教佢哋fine tune篇essay,會係body paragraphs,word choice, sentence variety 幾方面著手。我小朋友剛剛12歲1個月，下學年都要上intermediate,應同你小朋友差不多大，你可以試一個summer session睇下適唔適合,不過佢哋好似最近改咗要做下assessment先，以前唔洗。

Yes, they have beginners creative writing as well as vocabulary and grammar classes catered for younger children. I do not know much about their vocabulary and grammar classes but writing is their expertise. However, I did not send my son to KYP in his primary years and won't be able to comment on their other writing classes. Just browse through their website to get a better idea of what they offer.

Meanwhile, you may also consider Capstone (also in CWB) where my son attended a creative writing class for the summer a couple of years ago. He completed an adventure story at the end of the session and I was actually quite pleased with his "end product". We didn't continue after the summer only because my son was unable to fit into their schedule.

我仔並不是Kelly教,佢老師係Andrew,都喺KYP教咗好耐，相當唔錯的老師，其他老師未試過唔清楚。
