I mean if you are very confident with your child's English to meet Year 1 interview requirement, you can learn whatever you like.If not, it is much better to work together with the school, focus on the English skills preparing for Year 1 interview.

As my observation, many parents staying the IS curriculum but not truly believe their vision in education. I think education is a long long way to go. IS is teaching the student how to learn via the whole life as a generally speaking. I really understand such a complicated education system could not be in terms as a few words.

Many many parents are thinking the english is an easy language. For me, english and Chinese are the same level.
If u are reading a passage of Tudor history, u will easily to found out a lot of vocabulary.

Learning is a long long way to go
Not just in school

My advice is : no tutorial class in primary stage.

Let's explore the uniqueness and talent of your kid and even by himself. Learn spontaneously. He will enjoy the school life and study.

My boy's experience: he studies at RC and he doesn't take any supplementary classes.

Yes

Learning without any evaluations , test or examination are much more effective.

But challenging to assess the students who is the best?
How to know what they learn

They want to creates the interest as the origin ( the interest is the reason to push the student to keep learning ) then learn how to learn and keep to learn is much more important.
