yes, as far as i know, some very smart students were rejected by DBS but they performed very good at ...

We don't know the standard of the selected students, may be even better, who knows?

Those shortlisted students are very top in HK, they may have marginal difference academically, school may look for more all-rounder ..... That's what I guess.

If need to recruit all of them, school needs to have an ambition to have other schools in different districts, like HK, Kowloon and New Territories.
