Does anyone have that experience, because of moving to another district , both schools are in HK Island but with different catchments. Can you share?
My friend is planning a move but not confirm yet, so doesn't want to bother the principal of current school yet. Hope to get initial information here first. Cheers

Transfer is not compulsory. I moved 2 times and still stay in the same school. Up to parents' decision. Pls. note that the current school may not have school bus service to cover your new address.
(Simplest way to get the right answer is to contact the admission manager of your school directly.)

Notify your school's admission administrator where u r going to live. If u r buying a house, use that temporary contract to start queuing up. You need to wait for a vacancy before u can transfer. The best timing would be June.

They'd love to stay in the current school. Problem is the no school bus from the new place to current school..
