I just wonder how they choose the students. My son performed very well in the interview, even sing a complete song during the second interview with the principal. but at last just received waiting list letter. I think it was me and my husband performed badly...

Maybe try to write a letter to the principal expressing your eagerness. I think if you already had 2nd interview, your priority in the waitlist is much higher.
