Just wondering if there's any parent here who applied for IMS?

My son just had his assessment on Tuesday (Feb 25) and the very next day (Feb 26) the school called us in regards to placements. [Background info: IMS has 4 campuses- Tin Hau, Mid-Levels, South Horizon & the new Repulse Bay campus] Our first choice was the Tin Hau campus, although we really don't mind as long as he gets a spot.

Basically due to contractual issues they may not be able to offer any placement at the Tin Hau campus this year. Of course I told them it is okay and we are happy with another location (we are planning to move anyhow).

Does that mean he got in, or that they just want to know where every applicant stands?
Has parents here that applied for IMS got contacted by the school? Just want to find out. Thanks!

We had the interview on Feb 22 (casa) but we haven't heard from them yet.

Victor, how old is your child?
We are applying for casa as well, but my son was born Nov 2010.
A fellow mom with a girl born the same month told me that they will be placed as K2 equivalent within the school (although it is mixed age class).
Is your child younger or older?

I see. See he will be in Casa (K1 equivalent). Can still be classmates :)
Was your first option Tin Hau? It is very possible they are only contacting those whose first choice is the Tin Hau campus.

They said in 3-4 weeks, so i put on my own calendar as a reminder "before Mar 25"...

Just talked to a fellow mom who also received a call the day after her son's interview (from another IS we both applied for), asking if they'd prefer am or pm class (since she did not indicate it on the application form).

She stated that although receiving a verification call after the interview sound like the chance is high, in reality it is probably the administration trying to cross all the t's and dot all the i's. She is right. Better to expect no good news instead of having high hopes but end up with disappointments...

I think all this waiting around is driving me insane...

Just received the confirmation email from IMS. Our son just got an offer!! Happiest day of my life!!

Victor don't worry, another friend of mine doesn't seem to have heard anything yet either. The school give us until next Friday March 14th to confirm (of course it means pay by then), so i am sure they will send out another batch of offers in 2 weeks time, exactly what they claimed (3-4 weeks from interview day). We were quite surprised that the offer came so quickly too.

Just wondering, where did your child had the interview? My friend's girls had theirs at the Mid-Level campus, ours was at South Horizon campus, so the admin could be going by interview area as well.
