I'm waiting too. We've applied to 3 through-train schools, and ICS would be the earliest of the 3 to release their result so no complains there. (the other two: March 25/ early April).

Just one? Most people (even expats) apply to 5-6 in hopes of getting into one....

All 3 are good, and would feel fortunate to get into any one of them. In terms of location & the Chinese program, I guess IMS & CDNIS would be preferred, but ICS for character building. My family is Christian and do prefer a true Christian school.

"will be released" as in they are sending it out of Monday?

or that that we will receive it on Monday?

We won't receive on Monday as the admmision office can't get the short list in hand yet last Friday . We have to wait till Wednesday or Thursday.

Today I called again, and they said that the shortlist from kindergarten is not yet released to admission office and so they will post the letter tomorrow or Wednesday once they can get it! Stay tuned !

Yes. I struggle many times if I should call her once again as it seems that I was bothering her too much. But as I will be on a trip this Wednesday and so I worry I miss any update from ICS and Maggie suggested me to call today again. I think the result will be soon released by tomorrow and you all can receive letter by this week. I will not call her anymore and I will ask my family to check the mail box. God bless you all. No matter what the result is, wish your kids have a happy school life next year. muah!

I got email said my girl is accepted by ICS R1.
We have already accepted by KCIS, and gave up SWCK offer.
Again it is a very difficult decision to make.
(P.S. We live on HK Island.)

This is a difficult decision. We like ICS a lot, but live on HK Island which was not served by ICS bus route then. We gave up the offer at the end. Tough decision indeed.

We received the offer via email today as well but since we prefer a school on the HK Island and already have the IMS offer (one of my top choice), we'll be releasing our ICS spot soon (after we confirm our final decision next Monday). For those who haven't received a confirmation, don't lose hope!!

ICS is a great school and we know we are giving up something precious. For all those going, congratulations! i know your children are in good hands!

What if u move to ma on Shan? If u will consider their grade school , yr kids will have ten plus years studying in ma on Shan . Then u can choose ICS la

Moving is part of finding a good school. The key is whether you like the location where you're moving to.
For us, the quality of the school out weights the location. Just so happens my two top choices are both at HK island south, and my husband prefer to move there over Shatin, since it's more convenient for him to go to work. Yes, there are just so many factors!!

PeanutButterBB, If you take ICS you have priority to Elementary, in fact almost all K2 kids can go to Elementary unless those with English not up to standard. But ESF primary does not give priority to ESF K2 students. You can still apply ESF primary when your kid is K2, ESF treats ICS K2 students and ESF K2 students almost the same. But if you take ESF K1, and want to apply ICS Elementary, ICS will give seats to their K2 students first.

So if I were you, I will take iCS.

If you are not Christian, you may find ICS's value and education focus a bit over the edge. We are a Christian family, we just can't love this school more.

No, i mean according to the email they sent, we're supposed to receive their acceptance letter by mail yesterday (Friday), but i haven't received it.... but then, originally they did say they were sending it on Mar 7 and us receiving it by Mar 10, then they say they will send it this past Tuesday, then say Wednesday... so perhaps they still have trouble sending everything out. Understandable, but i am sure it is very frustrating for people anxious to receive the letters.

Has anyone who received the email got the package by mail yet?
