我個女讀耀中，都可以！
自己自覺上堂時不會講廣東話，但就好少外國學生。
功課都唔少，二年級已經每日7－8樣功課，一半是中文功課。
學校不建議學生在外面補習，其實真的不用，試過有問題第二日同老師講，教師即日會教識他們。

dsvsv, may I ask do you have children studying in both AIS and YC? Based on what evidence do you compare their teachers' teaching quality?

School demographic information such as number of nationalities and their %, whether they need certain national passports to attend the school or have priority should be published on their websites. Otherwise, the school is not being transparent of their own data or policy.

7-8 homework, that's a lot of homework for a Year 2! How much time does the school expect a Year 2 student spend on homework a day? We went to their open house and they said they do not encourage kids to spend too much time on homework everyday, is that not the case?

Unlike most international schools, American International School do not have debenture requirements. Also they do not have English Intensive Program or Learning Support classes like Yew Chung and Australian Int', which means students admitted to AIS have to reach their minimum US standards and have no learning behavioural problems. My neighbours' children both used to go to AIS Elementary and High School. They said they don't find mainland families attending there because they won't pass interviews with the principals. I have visited their school a few times and unlike schools with a lot of Caucasian expatriate families, children at AIS are polite and orderly with good discipline.
