I want to know whether the school is good or not too. Only know that they will open the third school in North Point soon.

They said they are bilingual teaching but no Chinese writing will be taught.

My son is studying in the tin hau campus now.. Personally I don't really like.. Will be pulling him out next year

He is in pre-casa now.. I joined the playgroup previously and think the Montessori way of teaching is too freestyle.. Which doesn't really suit my son .. Thus i will pull him out

我報過西灣河的playgroup，但感覺不愉快。我2月時打去問定幾時會有位，當時老師答4-5月。我於是填form寫想4-5月入讀，同時交了$4500。等到4月無人覆我，我打去追，佢去又話9月。但到時我已有其他學習安排，我話唔報了，想退款。點知學校話無得退，要扣起我$4500! 我話我都無用過你服務，點解唔可以退？我話那不是一個 fair agreement，佢地堅持不退。我即時打去消委會同教育局投訴。第二日學校即刻call我，話已預備支票俾我，全數退款。呢件事令我對這間學校無晒信心！

Playgroup is too free .. The structure is 30 mins freestyle activity time, 15 mins circle time, 30 mins freestyle activity time and 15 mins circle time. They are too free .. You can do whatever u want and the kids who doesn't want to sit down during circle time, the teacher doesn't teach them. For the activity time, mainly the parent will play with the child and the teacher will come around and help. But there were times that the teacher didn't even come around and their teachers are not caring at all. Always have temporary teacher..

Hi...jus to curious to ask a bit more...
as per my understanding of Montessori, the flow of you mentioned is something based on their rational and that's why some parents think they are too free style....however what I concern is how do they measure if a kid learn successfully with Montessori theory? did they school mention about it?

my son has been in the playgroup for almost 2 months now. as he is a very shy boy who is afraid of strangers approaching him, the playgroup style which allows independent work suits him a lot. teachers, though not approach him a lot during class (since he is too defensive), do observe him from a distance and would ask him to tidy up or pick up something when he throws away the tools.
