I have not much knowledge on the IS system in HK. Please advise how the path would be if I want my son to get into ESF for grade1? We live in Kowloon tong. And holding a Canadian passport would be an advantage?

Shortcut is to pay 500k nomination rite. U will be guaranteed for the interview. It is pricy but u can take back certain amount if yr kid failed P1 application.

It is all explained on ESF's website.

Nomination right is $500,000 in total, you pay an initial $50,000 to buy an interview chance, and then ...

If your child fails, they refund your $50,000.

If your child passes but you don't take up their offer, you forfeit the $50,000 paid.

If your child passes and you take up their offer, you need to pay the outstanding $450,000 to secure the place.

If your child passes and you have paid in full but end up not sending your child there, you forfeit all $500,000.
