今日才發現時間上差異，女女今年香港六年班，如要讀UK year 9, 13+ ，即form 3,不是2016年9月嗎？

如果在2016年9月入讀Year 9時，一般學生的年齡應該要細過13歲10個月。

By the time (that is Sep 2016) should be 13 or above.

I have this question as one of the schools said my daughter will be in year 9 for sept 2015 according to her age. I always think it should be sept 2016. Can I have your input? Have that said, the usual entry for Hk student (中一） is year 8 in UK? Not year 7?

I think it depends on age. The cut off time is Aug 31. That is, if your kid is 11 on or before Aug 31, then he / she enters Year 7. If he / she reachs 12 already, then he / she enters Year 8.

Kids born in 2002, if born before Aug 31, may join Year 8 directly in Sep 2014 instead of Year 7.

Of course, this is also subject to school policy.

HK local school kids enter primary 1 at age 6 whereas UK kids enter primary 1 at age 5. That is why if you move from HK local school to UK schools, you should 'skip' a year if you want to be in the appropriate age group - the exceptions being those 細仔細女 in local schools.
HK international school kids also start primary 1 at age 5, just like the UK kids, so they don't need to 'skip' a year if they move over to UK schools.

今日見到老闆d仔，問佢地當年讀完小六，去英國是讀Year 7,我問過兩間學校，都係要year8,所以好睇間學校俾唔俾
