Anfield收咗我仔讀全日，我都好鐘意間學校。但我target小朋友入直資學校，我想問如果自己私下教佢中文，最後可否入到直資學校？

廢話一句:就算你唔識中文；直資都冇話唔比你報名；
但佢唔收你就一個理由都唔使比你。

你諗住上直資；讀2,3年Anfield；一定好happy；但錢使左；時間花左(自己教中文)；條路會唔會順左?上番傳統；K1/K2個foundation仲有冇用?
我只見過讀完Anfield上唔到IS局住轉番傳統K3；亦見唔少Kentville, St. Catherine返半日班谷英文；再上傳統小學；
又見過d人讀傳統但番Anfield Saturday class；
仲有；即使你係專業中文老師；係屋企你o既角色主要係parents；小朋友咁細分唔分得出你幾時係parents；幾時係老師?點樣平衡2個角色?

無話唔得, 但個小朋友在P1時應該好難適應, 因為完全係兩個世界, 兩種教學手法, 另外, 唔止係中文, 仲有常識同數學, 如果你一心諗住想英文好D, 不如考慮下讀國際班啦!MOS既威寶國際全日班吖!上午全英, 下午有中文學, 反而咁樣可行D.

以前全日班上午同上午班一齊上;下晝比較relax,食下飯;玩下;同埋有另一D activities,幾輕鬆;現在有冇變就唔清楚。你亦可以選擇只讀上午班然後番屋企瞓醒再出去學野。

黃埔campus, 我問學校，佢地話full day只得一班，每班十零個小朋友。schedule係半曰班嘅double，意思係半日班有30mins普通話，全日就有1 hr。K1下學期開始寫字。

讀Anfield 個小朋友好開心，as 家長都好開心，我地冇試過因為做功課鬧交，因為從來冇做過功課。我個人好喜歡間學校，小朋友開心學野都ok 大部份小朋友d presentation skill 都 ok, 教english 好ok (我地平時同小朋友講cantonese),  日日都有 outdoor play 時間

但如果你會係諗住讀直資的話，你會覺得anfiel (除英文外) 係嚴重 behind 其他讀local school (我個囡數數目宜家仲係數到20 ka ja,  local school 好似有d 計緊加數)

樓主明顯好鍾意Anfield，所以都無謂多言。如果最終升讀Anfield小學都ok，就不用多想。

因為Anfield冇中學而學費又不是大平,大部分人申請都係做Backup,如其它學校有位好多人讀完year 1就轉校

Anfield primary connect to ICHK, no need worried.
Anfield good english and conduct.

my daughter study in Anfield K2, in the other primary, ie CAIS, RC, Kingstone. all offer,
finally, choice Anfield, becayse CAIS poor environment, RC poor conduct from other parent.
Thus, Anfield us good choice. small group class, good attention , good conduct.
my daughter is small baby, year 1 also 4 years old
Anfield take well care child, special small vby

Mrs Chik Chik,
Pls do NOT let your child attend TWO kindergartens as this would deprive your kid of her time to take nap / sleep for that matter. Sleep is a powerful tool for brain development. For children with inadequate sleep, their cognitive function will also deterriorate.
Furthermore, for practical reason, the substainability of atttedning two kindergartens is doubtful - is he/ she going to do homework for both schools?
Anfiled is a good kindergarten and a good primary school. It's linked to ICHK as secondary. However, you need to buy their visions before sending your kid there. If your primary aim is for DSS P.1, why don't you try St. Catherine instead?
I've been talking about the benefits of sleep and play for the brain develeoment of our children here for quite some time. I really hope parents can spend some time on thinking about it and goolge it to get more updated knowledge on this . Only by doing this can we really help our children.

ESF kindergarten?
Pls be reminded that not all ESF kindergartenn graduates can get a place in P.1?
Of course, if you are a foreign passport holder and/ or willing to give $500,000 for the nomination right, it will be another matter. Just a friendly reminder.
Also I think you'll need to teach Chinese yourself if you choose ESF kinder.
They advocate learning though playing (which I am sure you have already known)

I think Anfield and ESF are comparable: No guarantee for Anfield kinder kids to Anfield P1 either. Refer to other posts in the forum. Chinese education is comparable in Anfield vs. ESF.

The difference is: Anfield uses British curriculum and currently doesn't have middle/secondary schools.

The other difference, Anfield teaches traditional chinese but ESF teaches simplified chinese, if you are thinking of DSS P1, isn't it better to learn traditional chinese ?

I think you made a wise choice, cos I heard Anfield primary also welcome ESF kinder graduates.
Last year, my girl's school has 86% graduates successfully moved onto an ESF primary, a relatively high rate. As for the last 14%, around 10 of them went to Anfield primary.
