Did anybody apply ESF Wu Kai Sha and get invited for play session/ school tour ? Did they screen already the application and is the chance of getting admission is high if being invited?

My trick is to give my little sleepy girl a sugary drink before we get in the interview room/playroom. It works all the time

Mine was 0830, he was ok. Took him quite sometime to warm up and the teachers too. The teachers seemed a little dull and uninterested at first.... Really not sure how my son did. Anyway, all the best!!!

I suspect, and I stress this is only my suspicion, that they assess the parent's English more than the child's, and check if the child could understand and react to the parent's English, I don't think they expect the child to say much. When I went for an ESF kindergarten play visit two years ago, most of the kids were very quiet and just concentrated on playing.

When my son was in the room he hopped around all the different activities before he settled for the play-doh area and each time a teacher or EA would come and speak to him... but he wasn't warmed up yet so he seemed a little shy and maybe a little rude too... but in the end you could hear him talking loudly and laughing a lot... not sure if that was a good thing though... coz it was after all the talking and observation.

I thought there were some play session already hold last week? As the helper in Anfield playgroup told my helper their child went last week already. I'm not sure if the 7 classroom were all occupied, but I just saw many many people and the school is very crowded. Just wondering how many kids competing for how many seats

Same with some parents, teachers attitude for child(feel dull may be).compare with ameri edu, Eng edu is quite diff which i saw.

To my knowledge interviews were already held for the current students' siblings back in mid December.

I'm sure there was a 0830, 0930 and 1330 play visit session and each time there must be have been about 30-40kids per session. There were 7-8 children in my room this morning during the 0830 session and there were about 5 rooms used for play visit.

Tutor times have playgroup, n, k1-3. No other grade. Its a happy sch, suit my daughter, i know she love it so much.
I try to apply other sch cos worry about the future.
But tutor times teachers enjoy their works(thats my feeling). Lots of smile and funs in the classroom that i heard when waiting outside.

I also feel that the teachers were too serious/proper during the play visit. I dont think it is approprite for kids between two and three.

Have you been told there will be only 80 places next year? In terms of this academic year, we have 6 K1 classes(3AM+3PM), and 8 K2 classes. Each has 22 kids.

Agree!! They asked questions and teachers busy writing comments, etc... I thought they will be just watching or playing with the kids, dont expect to be like this ....

Yeah, after the parent school tour I was quite impressed, and would consider if they give an offer though I already paid Anfield. However , after yesterday interview..... I guess I should stick with Anfield...

Have to agree with u there. Had great expectations.... But after meeting the teachers... :( .... Box hill teachers are more friendlier than them.
