今天去參加了Kingston的information session，發現PN班一个foreigner都沒有，有點擔心其國際化程度。其實一直以來都還蠻喜歡這個學校的。糾結中。哎

Kingston比較多中文，少foreigner不奇，有咩所謂？佢地小朋友中英都不錯

其實真不用擔心，如港島多人爭的SIS,都係大部份或全部都係亞洲人。佢有pn, 同小學。學術高。真的放心。佢係小班教學小朋友會吸收得好。佢中學ichk需遠但校風純樸，我有朋友仔女本讀開耀中，都特登轉去ichk. 所kingston 係getting popular 既good achool

Kingston 好似從來都不是太多外國人, 小兒2004年入讀時已如是, 但多NET, 很嚴格的英普學習環境。

If you want a more international environment, don't choose Kingston for sure. Very few foreigners.

How do you get invited for the information session? I have applied for the Playgroup but there is not any news from the school.

I think just luck. They choose ~40 out of several hundred.

Lucky you. We are PN class and need interview. In my information session, ~ 20 parents. I think playgroup no need for interview.

I thought PN is the same as PG, interview = got admitted?

Not really. PN will only take new students when someone left from their PG. Hence it's unknown who many babies will be admitted from the PN interview until the PG students made their decision. And also because of this, only PM class available for new PN babies.

When did apply for the PG?

I applied in May but hasn't got the invitation.

But I really want to know the criteria of being selected for the info session or interview. I think it is not selected based on a first come first serve basis.

Agreed. They prefer big B. It is very unfair for small Bs as most schools prefer big Bs. It seems that birth month determines which school you go. unfair!

Yes, the school told me during the open day Big B will have priority as they afraid small B cannot catch up with the IB course and afraid small B will get frustrated and loss confidence when compared with Big B.

Yes, I also wonder how they select the playgroup participants through the interview. Or can all the participants whose parents have attended the information session are invited for an interview?
Does the interview means being accepted? So confused.....

Not sure how the interviews been selected. Those who attend information session will get interview. And the % of acceptance really depends on how many PG left at Year 2, for sure not 100%.

Really?

It used to be 'interview = offer' in the previous years I think.

I only applied last week for this year's PG (my son is 10 mths old), is it too late? Would parents normally call the school to chase if you don't hear from them within a few weeks?

the playgroup interview is just like a normal playgroup session conducted in english and putonghua. only 1 of the parents is allowed to accompany the child

Students from PG to PN, no interview was required.

Concerning the language for PG's interview, ours conducted in English but if English is a problem, guess they will use PTH, as PTH and ENG is the only language to be used in the school
