請教 : 中一學生2015年去UK 讀Yr 9 或 Yr10好呢?

如果學生成績唔錯，是Top 20%或以上，另學校本身都好，例如是band 1，我會比佢上yr 10。yr 10仲有3年應付gcse，夠時間。

I think for admission from non-UK system to year 10, the case is either the student is v outstanding or the school is not outstanding.

中一等於Y7，你想跳幾多年？不如直接入大學。如果間學校咁無所謂，請你話比大家知。

Studying abroad is quite an expensive burden to many parents in HK. If the kids are capable to skip one grade (I believe some can given the drill here), why not.

In the UK, the grade is rather matched to the age. Unlike in Hong Kong, many kids are drilled well ahead.

2015即是讀完F.2先過去讀Yr9或Yr10. The student is beyond the age group according to the admission policy of UK schools if entry into Yr9.

Yes, it is right. Thanks for your comment. But I think it may be too late now to apply Yr.9 for 2014 admissions.

You may try as some of the schools will make special arrangement to overseas students.

You may have to act quick as many of the entrance exams are taken place in Jan.
