has anyone received interview letter of ESF Tsing Yi?
or does anyone know when they will send out interview letter?

My friends got the letter last week! They r esf's alumni n the kid's sibling is studying in esf.

Seems not much ppl received letter...may be the first round only distribute to the candidate with sibling in ESF.

I received the letter. Play session will be conducted in Jan. My son is Oct BB. No sibling.

my coworker got letter, no sibling and not alumni... i called TY ESF, the secretary said every kids applied will get interview.. that's what i heard over the phone... the lady said some letter is mailed on monday..

If this is the case then they have changed their way of doing things this year. In previous years they did not invite every applicant to play visit but those who were invited had a good chance of being accepted.

So it is a change from "interviewing few but accepting most" to "interviewing all but accepting few", there are pros and cons to each approach.

First round starts in January with invitations sent in December. Those having their interview in December are children who have some form of priority, i.e. children of staff, sibling, alumni etc, you can think of that as round zero.

You mean all seat are filled by the one who got interview on Dec?

No, there aren't that many staff children and siblings and alumni, so there will still be plenty of places left for the general applicants in January.

It seems that each campus has its practice. For abacus, some parents said that they received waiting list letter but no play visit invitation, while, some of them haven't yet rec'd letter. This is diff from TY campus
