我是新手媽媽, 下星期in太子Ming Wai, 今天是北角Ming Wai PN interview, 有冇人可分享?

是否一個家長in校長,另一個家長同BBin老師? 有冇問BB問題? Thank for yr sharing!

I have attended interview today, but we applied the Nursery, not the PN class. don't know if these information are useful to you or not.
At first, 1 parent and the child will join the singing and dancing section with all other parent and children. The other parent will go to meet the principal.
After that, 4 children and parents are grouped together and interviewed by the teacher by asking some questions.

We attended the interview this morning (just before lunch).

One parent went to "see" the principal (actually was asked to fill in a questionnaire which looked like writing essay questions). I was accompanying my son during the interview.

There were two parts: first, all the kids in the time slot went to a big room where there were around 10 NET. normal singing and dancing part - around 10 mins or so. Then, three kids were grouped for the small group interview with one Chinese teacher. There was a basket of toys. The teacher asked the questions on these toys. After that, normal questions on the kids' or parents' body parts.

Seems they grouped kids of the same age for the small group interviews. so no worries about the big baby or small baby.

The teacher asks BB about the shape, color, animal, number.
The principal asks why u apply the kindergarten.

For principal's questions, we answer by writing or by speaking (Cantonese or other language),
Did principal ask about the further information of questionnaire filled in briefing session before?

it was my hubby who went to see the principal. we haven't discussed the details yet because we both had to run back to work after the interview. He mentioned questions like why did you choose this school. I think they are just the common questions. You shouldn't worry about this too much.

Thanks for your kind wishes :) My son responded to all the questions and instructions. I didn't push him at all. How the kid feels like really matters. Good luck to you!

The more you know more about the school and can show it to the teacher who interviewd you would help to gain a lots of points 。Personally i think the whole process is very well organized.

昨日流程ok, 幾順暢, 不是等太耐, 只可一個家長帶小朋友入去課室, 首先係circle time , 幾個英文先生帶住唱英文歌, 我又覺得氣氛幾好, 期間我見有主任坐在一旁觀察小朋友比分, 之後入另一課室見老師, 四人一組, 都係考些簡單問題, 期間要填問卷, 之後又要見校長,再填問卷, 都要一d時間填寫, 期間我仔開始喊,要走, 所以都係寫左少少野.... 不明點解唔寄interview letter 時比埋家長填, 要去到先填, 又要睇住個細路, 又要填form

, 不過, 感覺好過迦南,起碼唔會問d咁深問題

其實Interview時份問卷，應該係簡介會時填，見校長果份，就係當日interview填〜

最好爸爸媽媽都一齊去in,上次orientation時老師已暗示bb interview 同見校長係同步進行,如果一個家長去，要再安排時間見校長，有可能安排唔到，咁會失份喎！

Yes, u are 200% correct!
上年太子已經收爆了，再加上龍年效應。
校長講左如果不是PN直上，跟本入不到K 1。
而且PN都好多waiting,所以下年K1一定唔收外校人。
所以顕得PN更珍貴。

Agree. I didn't go for the interview after I heard that those who joined the orientation have greater chance of admiision and parent's primary school are required in the questionnaire. She also iterated many times that don't disclose it in the forum, etc. Apparently, they prefer to choose the kids whose parents are from elite primary schools so that their kids will be accpeted in the 1st round of primary 1 admission and then its school has better P1 result. It is too commercial.

Yes, Ming Wai offers School bus covering most of the HK Island areas. You can call them for more information.
AMMEYOGI - Where did you hear that parents who attended the Orientation will have greater chance on admission? And that they tend to select parents from Elite Primary School? So far, on all the application forms I filled out, most of them ask about the primary schools parents attended. I didn't know it would matters that much!

I always wonder why these kindergarten like to ask primary school of parents. I didnt see any connection before. Now I know why. Thanks for sharing. My husband said he doesn't like this school too. The Net teachers are just foreigners but don't seems to have any qualification nor experience in childhood education and the campus location is far from ideal.

In 咗咁多間, 反而覺得 Creative o的 test 係最合 level.....不過衰咗要人等好耐, 小兒果日就係等得唔耐煩, 結果當然失手啦.
