如果底線係希望小朋友能看得懂中文報紙,一般你們會幾多歲出國？(不打算在港讀大學)

我跟一些前輩討論過這問題，他們的考慮點是孩子成長。很多都不建議在中三四送出國，因為孩子會很難適應。一是在小學完緮結後，由於所有小朋友在升中初期都要適應，所以這時孩子會比較容易跟同學交朋友及打入他們的圈子，但是與父母的関係從此疏離一點。另一個適合的時間是完成中學後，到時孩子大定了，很多事情可以處理到包括適應。當然個別孩子有個別考慮。

Is that meant to be for the UK? I would have thought for the US, a natural entry point would be G9 at the beginning of high school

Yes, I meant UK. Those persons I talked to are indeed British working in Hong Kong. I don't have any knowledge in US high school.

I think I will consider after Grade 13 after IB exam. If your kid is in IS now, the curriculum is no different outside HK, then I will stay.

Yes, the later the better if you are already in IS. If in local school, maybe Year 9 or Year 12 in UK.

如果小學去，你要預咗好大機會孩子不會回港，初中一半半，至少grade 9好D。

that's why I choose IS, can send her away later. If local scl probably need to leave at F2F3.
