想問每星期是否只一次普通話堂？小朋友K2會否學寫字？還是只有認字？

My girl was in WKS kinder before, I think Mandarin lessons were more than once a week. but very simple, just story telling = NOTHING!!

Never write Chinese in kinder, and never wrote English on workbook...I only saw them on white board, on the sand box....

BUT, now she is in primary school. once she start P1, her reading and writing level improved a lot!!!

On the other hand, she had after school lesson for Mandarin, even now 45mins Man a day, but I felt not enough.

Anyone knows ESF schools teach Chinese with Traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese?

Esf的小學都係簡體，但RC是用繁體。

我兩個小朋友都係讀ESF kinder。但你絕對唔可以靠佢讀中文，上到小學係跟唔到。一定要出去讀先得，細果個有出去讀都ok.大果個果時冇出去讀真係一殼眼淚，現在好難追返

Thanks for the reply! so yr kids are not studying in ESF anymore? Is it quite difficult when they went back to local stream?

My son also x-WKS student and now in ESF Private School. Don't rely on the school to teach as it is so simple even Y2. The best and most simple way is asked them to read Bible.

Awesome idea! It serves for dual purpose: nourish the religious life n learn Chinese.
