my son is studying in st cat k1 now and is going to apply int'l schools. We suddenly got a call from KCIS that they have vacancy now for K1 for replacement due to relocation of some students. Shall I take the offer or should i just stay at St cat and see if we can get other Int'l school next year. I am afraid if we give up now, it's hard to get in again

What type of primary schools do you want ? If KCIS P1, you should pick the offer now. If you are still thinking about local primary schools... then... St.Cat is also good !

No, English n Cantonese class. The school seems ok as it has been a month. He always copies his teacher behavior when he comes home

oh? u didn't go for interview at KCIS?
I'm luckier than you.. I got the call in early Sept althought my son starts K1.. so easier to make the decision.

We did the interview and lucky got accepted. It was a hard choice till now I am not sure if I am right to stay with st cat. The lady said they have 100 something waiting if we gave up the offer! My ultimate goal is IS though...

There are 2 parts in interview.. the parents are allow to stay with the kid.
First they make a circle and listen some story and see everyone's reactions.
Then they let the kids sit in a table, each with 3 -4 kids.. there are some toys in the center of the table.
They let the kids play w/ the toy and a teacher will sit w/ a kid one by one to ask about the color, shape, your name.. just conversation with the kid.. meanwhile another teacher will talk to the parent, ie.. what's their primary language at home.. where did your kid study before etc etc..
The entire interview is conducted in English.

do you think is easy to past? i know before some years, kcis no need to take interview. jusy base on first come first. dadda have friend"s children study there, but they all growing up already. they are highly recommended the school.

差好遠架.this is an internation school.system are totally different. and their kindergarten only have 2 years.
