想問下學RWI 的意見！都幾貴但聽說英國小學及很多國際學校都採用！

My daughter 4 yrs old and  is taking the foundation course in Sept , they need to teach 44 sounds and every lesson teaches 2 letters but the teacher said every lesson, first 15 mins learn phonics and  20 mins writing and then the rest blending words, but I can forsee the children can learn many vocabulary and help them to read, listen and write in future , I can say HK$320/ lesson is expensive ,  I was hesitating for one year to enrol
as my daughter start to learn writing.

They need you to do assessment before the children can  enrol.  I did not send my daughter to any English course before RWI, During my daughter's assessment, I met the Primary one student ,taking RWI assessment and he need to start the Elementary level 2 , his mother said he learn some phonis before but still can not  read all 26 letters but the RWI request  qu, ch , sl,sh, ng nk sound is difficult

My daughter can tell me i for instrument, invitation card ,  n for necklace etc...

The teacher is native English speaker and he would teach the parents what he taught at class when you pick up children.  I hope the info can help you.

Thank you very much for your information !I let my kid do the assessment last week. She did quite well and can start from the second level ! I hope she can improve her English by doing RWI because her school is very good at Chinese but not English !

如家長有信心, 可以買RWI 的教材試下自己教, 我也是自己教小朋友, 不過無教WRITING 個部, 因為會拖慢進度。

44個音基本上好易學識及記熟。

我個囝剛升讀Intermediate Level, 在頭兩個Level, 佢不停透過故事書溫Train writing, blending , 對於一些心急在幼稚園考starter 的家長，呢個課程是不適合的，我相信語文是要慢慢浸的...到intermediate level,課程及串字開始深。我個仔K3, 做Asseesment 時，見到一幅圖，可以寫到句子描述，所以我覺得RWI 可以有系統地長遠train writing & reading

我小朋友由最低學到現在
現在讀緊higher level 小二
RWI 係開頭較慢越高level越快
課程比其它類似的課程，時间較長、較有系統
我最初選它，是相信它的品牌同出品
因為有很多小學都係用RWI的
在小朋友所學的課外活動中
它仍然是我覺得值得的課程

如果只想學writing,
建議还是揾些其它本地化的課程
佢地writing 那部份較纫合國際學校

RWI 吾止咁少咁簡单

也不是普通教師可以教到的
