聽朋友說同學在學校交談都是用廣東話, 是嗎? 學校有冇要求一定要用英文交談呢?

一定係廣中話。 Mps 只是一問local school,不是国際學校。

The students at my school converse in both languages, but overall, we talk with Cantonese a bit more than English.

However, even when we are using Cantonese, we sometimes still throw in some English phrases.
I cannot say that nearly all of the students use English as in international schools, but overall we use more English than the average Chinese schools.
Marymount Primary School's teachers do not force us to speak English, but they are supposed to act as our role models and speak English in English lessons. Sometimes, when the teachers hear us speaking in Cantonese during English lessons, they would just tell us not to do it next time.
I think that the reason why our school's students have such a good command of English is because all of the teachers speak English well and speak it very often in front of us. Therefore, we could approach the language more easily.

I think, for Marymount parents, we don't worry about their standard and oral english. ( of course, not comparible with the international ones.) . Most students' english both their spoken, and written are of very high standards.
