Both schoosl offer a place for year 9.

有沒有家長給你們寶貴意見

請給意見各校水準如何,
校風和校園生活,
師生比例,

有誰知道哪所條件優勝？有甚麼地方較優勝呢

排名
St Geroge VA
Schoolranking ( ranked: 500)比
Steyning grammer(ranked: 1000)高很多.
但在 Ofsted報告:
Steyning Grammer boarding inspectionis" outstanding" and
及提供多
after school activitives及 Steyning正在增值中,
只是GCSE result沒有 St George高

Percentageachieving 5+ A*-C GCSEs (or equivalent) English and maths GCSEs

St:George: 90%

SteyiningGrammer: 70%

My boy just entered to year 9 this year. Steyning is a small and a nice town, so far so good

Hi Robert papa

How is the boarding life,
How far from boarding house to school. From the map, it seems that upper shcool and boarding house quite far away.
Any wifi in school
If they school will block the facebook ?

Hi JK2000,
In order to enable all boarders to know each other,the boarding School arrange a lot of activities at the weekend, such as touring around the city and water sports. My son enjoy it and can cope with it so far.
About 10 mins walk from boarding hse to school,WiFi is provided,but some web site are block including facebook

Whole school there is about 8 students from Hong kong. I am staying in a hotel around steyning and will be leaving tmr. You have a kid in school? my son is the only one from hk at year 9

May I know did your son apply for admission to Steyning through agent? Or you applied yourself? I am also looking for some state boarding schools for my son and would like to know more about the points to note. Grateful if you could advise me on the procedures, e,g. the date to apply for Y7 in 2015, to submit the application. Thank you in advance. By the way, is Steyning a selective school? As for St. George, I think it is not a selective one.
Have parents heard about Adams' Grammar School, Ripon Grammar School and The Royal Grammar School? What are your comments on them?

Hi hinhinmami,I applied the school myself through the school web site. This is a selective school,however,no admission test but will request school reference and Skype interview. If you intend to send you son to year 7 at 2015,I think you should apply at the end of 2014

We are still in Hong Kong.
My daughter may go next week after Mid Autumn Festival .
I need to arrange ticket and prepare the things for her. It is because we made decision late study in UK.

She will be year 9 too this year.

How is the weather there.?
How is the comment from you son for meal?

Re, pillows, quilt etc, pls advise if you order via boarding house office. it is too bulky to bring.

How about the books. ? If The school will provide to the students or we need to buy.

Glad to know your daughter join the School. Weather turns cooler at night, around 15c. I order the bed lineN FROM SCHOOL. School meal acceptable,u can order Chinese food yourself. No Ned to buy book

School give each boarder 15 pound each week for spending in school and I gave him abound 500 pounds reserved of unexpected expense. Should be enough since the school Fee include meal and outdoor activities. Or u can put some money into school for other expense

I Use BA and single. I will buy return ticket in UK Cos it is cheapr

If your kid school reference and Skype interviewing is ok, I think should be no problem
