Just want to share the interview status with all anxious parents,
we just rec'd HKU MBBS interview notice but still awaiting other interview notices for other choices taken.

Glad if any parents rec'd notice can share.

剛剛問過朋友，好似通常簡左band a 的先有Interview，同唔係個個都有得interview,但最好問多一兩個,唔係百分百答案

for the first batch of jupas interview, ie those held in may /june, only students who have placed MBBS in band 1A will be selected, and of course not all students will be interviewed, if you were not interviewed in this round, that means you were not a potential candidate. After release of results (and hence resubmission of jupas priorities by some students), another round or interview will be held in july, candidates are selected based on their DSE results. Those who were not selected in the first round (probably due to low predicted grades ) but did well in their final DSE and meets the standard of MBBS admission will be summoned for an interview. For those who attended the first batch of interview but did not perform well in the interview, if their DSE results are good, they will also be asked to come for a second interview. Basically, if you are not invited for an interview at all, you can consider your application unsuccessful.   
The above is only for HKU medicine, i am not sure about other faculties.

我計過都係差唔多

6人 x 3 group X 6 sessions = 108人


可能更少, 我女話跟住佢個 session 個 group 得 4 個人

What faculty's interview will yr child attend?  Different faculty have different policy.My girl's experience might not be suitable for you, I am afraid I'll mislead you.

港大醫學院 一半學位俾non-jupas

non-jupas 大概有600人面了試

12月+4月 , 4月人數最廳大

4月21,23日面試, 那2天, 都用了2間大房

那2天隨時已有300人


近年醫學院都係一半位俾non-jupas

你自己可以計下數

我是醫學院的話

有100個位俾non-jupas (當少50%^少少)

平均in 成功機會, 是1/6 的話

我in 600人

但問題是, 有人符不到offer

是故, 我會派出120-130個offer左右


我統計了英基的小朋友

面試而有OFFER的人, 大概是1/6

頂尖英國學校寄宿學校的機率, 則是1/3

graduate 報醫為第二個學位 的機率 ,則是1/12


ps 我更正了一些數字

For both medic schools JUPAS Admission Statistics (HKDSE) of 2012, Pls refer to the following thread and post 34:

You can see the Band A applications and Band A awards. Refer to the JUPAS original documents, you can easily find out the J vs NJ ratio systematically per institution per program, no need to guess and make wrong decisions.
