The new tranche is priced at a whopping $6 million. I doubt if anyone will really buy it. Or perhaps just a tactic to mark up the secondary market price. Given the school though popular but still nowhere near HKIS or CIS.

I have been told the market price has been at $6 mil several months ago. Didn't know they were issuing another tranche though.

Seems the school is raising price of each batch by 1.5Mil. I remember the last two were 3Mil and 4.5Mil. 6Mil is a lot of money. Not sure if the price could keep going up.

$100m 又如何呢。。。。你不一定要買才可以讀ISF架。可以連幾萬都唔俾都得架。

Someone in my office bought one for around $500,000 a few years ago. Believing that a place at ISF is more or less secured, she bought another one in 2nd hand market for her second kid and a very nice apartment in Bel-Air. She did not get the ISF place but made a lot of money at the end.

This is the new tranche #9, don't know how many will be issued.

The price had hit $6.8 million or 6.5 million earlier (different sources), now 2nd hand come down to 6.2-6.3 million, perhaps due to the depressed stock market. It is absurd. Nonetheless, it is almost a guarantee, as i heard, 99% got admitted.

Don't think your sample is representative. A fair number of people get rejected even with debenture. That's why there are now more and more siblings with debentures.

Yes, you are right, not directly related to your point. Rather just referring to the underlying competitiveness of getting in these days for debenture holders or siblings alike.

No idea what the exact percentage is but I personally know multiple cases of kids with debentures not being accepted.

Same here HKTHK. Know many cases of debenture holders didn't get in FY13 and also for 1st interview for FY in 14.

But I heard only handful not getting through (school said "not ready"), mostly due to young age (born in latter part of the year. Some got through in the second or third assessments, some asked to defer one year, and very few gave up.

I am just trying to share info i know or heard, I don't take different views/sources of info as argument, if these are given on good faith, which I believe you are.

I do wish what you said is true, as this would release more seats for non-noteholders.

A rich friend of mine phoned the companies trading memberships, and was told there is currently no capital note for sale in market!! Such a crazy world.
