標題: Mandarin or Cantonese Class at Primary Two [打印本頁]

My son has a chance to pick Mandarin or Cantonese Class for his Chinese at Primary Two. He used to speak Mandarin during his kindergarten but at P.1 the school used Cantonese for Chinese lesson. My son now like Cantonese, any parents can comment regarding with this issue. Thanks a lot!

i think mandarin might be more useful for him in future but the most important thing is he need to interested in it.otherwise, he will give up easily

My son taken Mandarin Kumon and Other Centre providing Mandarin for Chinese but he insist Cantonese for his Chinese Lesson at P.2

Reintroducing Mandarin as a language for children is not difficult, as there are so many topics about the language and history to work on. But it does depend on the teacher, and whether they can stimulate them to look forward to gaining knowledge and finding a passion in learning, and this is speaking from experience, the teacher plays a major role aside from the contents!!

i know senate house has the mandarin programme and they said they teach chinese culture and mandrin. my children r studying english course there and thinking to join mandarin next week. see if it's good and will tell u later.

my kids r happy with the course, they r studying author and ambassador, i saw their notes and i think it's interesting and useful

Thanks for your reply. My girl had her first lesson there yesterday, she liked it so much. She was so talkative in the class, because she liked it, she was willing to do homework to get prepare for next lesson. Hope the course is helping her with writing. Thanks.
