我身邊好多家長都比小朋友學, 我囡間學校其實都有教, 咁重需要出去另外再報嗎? 如果想佢改善英語溝通技巧, 應該報邊類果程比較適合?

phonics helps reading aloud common words without using a dictionary and dictation. There are some basic rules and still a lot of exception. Phonetics is to help learning pronunciation using phonetic symbols and it may take longer time to learn. P4-P6 kids can learn phonetics if they know phonics well.

Phonics is important to your child's understanding of the English language. It will help them with working with most of the words. As they develop in their phonics ability, they will also build confidence in using English. The main thing is not about whether you sound good speaking English, rather, it is whether they are willing or capable to try and say it in the first place and phonics can help them to do that easier. There are still so many other reasons why children should learn phonics from a young age up, like reading, pronunciation, spelling, familiarisation of the Language, and so forth...
