除了一次 junk mail 事件外，我對這家網上書店的服務，也很滿意，大部分的書也買到，跟bookdepository相若，但它用港幣標價，方便我不用找計數機．

現在的習慣是粗略比較幾家網上書店的價錢，只要不是相差太遠，我選魚塘，書藏所的價錢最終要視乎過數當日的匯價，反而魚塘更似”明碼實價”，試過用超低海鮮價港幣24元買到Quiet，嘩，抵到呢！但我要強調，幾家網上書店都是很好的，特別要選”相對不太大路”的參考書，書藏所更加略勝一籌．

Amazaon都好，只是太多二手書店資訊，版面亂，我看得沒有耐性，但這是我的問題，與它沒有關係．

我沒有刻意計算過是否一如其所言6-10日的送貨期，因為，我在網上買書，不太在乎這點，如果急用，我會去Swindon找，總之，每次覺得，都差不多了，書就自然送到．不過，肯定沒有6日這麼快，10日左右吧！

Is ordering in HK$ cheaper then? Amazon is the other way, they like to convert your purchase to HK$ but gives you a very bad exchange rate.

Mine are too young for BoB as well. But I do look forward to it if they are interested. Have you thought about buying the books on Kindle and make use of their X-ray function?

My boy wears glasses with 400度近視，better stay away from tablets or computer. He loves reading books.

I think the Kindle Paperwhite is better. Plus the X-ray function lists out all the characters with all the relevant paragraphs!

I want my kids to be glasses-free for as long as possible, that's why I made them read with their Kindles!

I have a Kindle (the oldest version, with keyboard). It is comfortable to read, but I prefer having a book in my hands. I like a physical book with paper texture, layout, font size, font type, front and back cover design...... to appreciate while reading. I am just weird, ain't I?

It is nice to have a book in one's hand. But I save that pleasure for Chinese books now. Reading on the Kindle is especially appealing when you are on the road or can't carry too many physical books. I used to have the original Kindle as well and just moved to the Paperwhite. It is a much better experience. I would recommend it especially if you need to read in a dark environment. The other benefit is the font size can be increased (in anticipation of additional aging in the next few years)!

不會喇，讀 Kindle 跟書本一樣，眼睛靠四周的光源來看字，壞眼的是字後出光的 iPad, Kindle Fire 等，不一樣的。

很多 chapter books 的字很細，讀起來傷神，易壞眼；這些書在 Kindle 上可較大字體來看，對眼睛好得多。

另外，很多人看書會攤平看，遇著光紙印刷的書就會反光，又是對眼睛不好；長期低頭亦對頸椎有害。Kindle 很易墊斜，不怕反光或傷頸。

您小朋友多大呢? 我仔仔升year 5，我想到他year 7才讓他用kindle。我驚他在學校or街上丟了就肉赤死，因他現在無論出街去邊都會自攜一本書。

一個升小五，一個升小二呀。一齊去街都會帶 Kindles, 佢地都有手尾，唔係成日唔見嘢嗰類人。返學帶中文書，因為學校唔俾帶電子產品，亦正好攞個平衡。

對, 7本書會分開寄, 但你在同一日訂, 應不會在7個不同日子收掛.

Hi torunpoland,

請教：想買green mars,見fishpond(HK$65.91), bookdepository (HK$61.87) 及amazon(US$6.78)價錢相若，但不清楚amazon是否free shipping，滙價約乘多少？另外bookdepository及amazon是否也是約10天送到？那間較快？已經8/9年冇用amazon户口買書，當年覺得好貴和很久才收到書，好鬼肉赤。謝謝指教！

bookdespository 近年發書很慢，好多次都要成個月，有二次差不多要個半月，寫email 去催，衹是叫我check my local courier ! 點 check! 佢D書不是直接由英國寄去收貨地址，而要由英國寄去香港的公司然後才慢慢寄去收貨地址，所以現在都沒再訂，fishpond 大概2星期內。

其實fishpond同bookdepository都類似，大家標示的價錢已包括郵遞到府上，fishpond比bookdepository更早用本地貨幣（對香港客戶是港幣）標價。

之前已有分別有兩張帖子：'recent experience ...' 討論這兩家網上書店的購書經驗。可以一看。

這幾年間我在兩家都有購書，不過由於近年bookdepository的郵遞渠道改組而變得不太可靠後，我已轉用fishpond。

Fishpond通常比book dep平少少，但最近呢一兩次訂fishpond都比佢原先的時間遲了。
Fishpond的優點係你可以喺佢未出貨之前取消order，佢會退錢俾你，因為有時訂咗書阿仔又喺書局見到，想即刻買。但遲咗收貨就無得退錢，佢只會安排repacement。
Book dep 就相返，一落order就不能退錢，不過如果收唔到貨佢會退錢，正如樓上嗰位咁講，佢退錢退得好鬆手。

我之前試過book dep 買書，發現其兩個sites: .com 和 .co.uk 竟然同一本書相差幾鎊，本來在比較貴的網頁買了，寫去話想退錢，因未出貨，完全沒問題，然後再在同名另一網店買。現在改了不准cancel order 嗎？
