Agree, they should begin to learn phonic before they start Pri sch!! It will help their reading and speaking and also build confidence in Eng!!

It really does depend on how your child reacts to the materials or which learning style they are. I choose to use Jolly Phonics for my daughter, and she is enjoying it very much. But I've heard many good things about other systems too~ So I think you really have to try them out, but start with the more common ones like Jolly Phonics, Letterland, RWI, and hooked on Phonics...you can't go wrong with these to begin with ^^

Synthetic phonics such as rwi seems to be the latest greatest. But phonics could be quite boring so pick one that ur kid like and enjoy. Note with languages, short practice every day is better than a long session a week.

This is a good point!! Try to involve ur child in more Eng on a daily basis, this will compliment what they learn in class n at school!!
