Any existing parents of CAIS can tell me more about the gifted program in CAIS? I read from the school's website saying they've support for special needs kids including gifted kids. How exactly do they carry out the program? Do they offer extra assignment for these kids? Any other teachers assigned to nurture these kids? Thanks a lot in advance!

CAIS liaise with one charity at cambodia to build the school there. Each Class will help to raise the fund to support one child. All classmates are encourage to donate $2 each week to support this program. Beside this program, CAIS also have different range of raise fund event, i.e. read a thorn, the purpose is encourage kids to read books to friend and relatives and raise funds to this organization. I am very appreciate the school have such activity and kids can learn how to help others.

I heard an assessment will be conducted at the beginning of every year , those who are confirmed to be very capable can choose to skip grades

Thanks Littleho! I'm actually not as concerned as skipping grades but extra support subject-wise e.g. will they assign more challenging work to those that are gifted in maths or language? I know Yew Chung will identify gifted students in different subjects and teachers will give these students extra to work on (the kids still go to the same class as others). I just wonder if CAIS offers similar assistance?
