剛剛上兩星期去了 Reg. Day, 學校不是傳統中學, 學生來自不同國家, 同國際學校差不多!

與老師交談都是以英語為主. 至於難唔難入, 我諗都係見仁見智. 如小朋友本身英文底比較好(會話及聽寫),咁會優勝啲!

因我囡囡讀幾年就會返加拿大繼續升學,所以這間學校會比傳統中學更適合佢!

Hum…… by looking at the school curriculum, YMCA offers both international curriculum - IGCSEcurriculum and UK GCE 'A' Level exams, and the local curriculum leading to the (HKDSE).In Form 3 and 4 students can take IGCSEs 'on top' of the local curriculum. InForms 5 and 6 students can option to take either the local NSS curriculum or UKGCE 'A' Level.

Well, it depends….
if my daughter returning to Canada before Form3, then no worries about the IGCSE.
ButI think she still have other options if she stays.

呢間應該係Band 2 英中! 至於校風,由於之前我跟囡囡去Reg.Day 當日, 啲學生仲未放假, 所以我就有機會睇吓佢哋小息既情況!

他們在tuck-shop 都好守跌序去排隊, 行到出足球場,見到有很多學生圍在草地上談天,又見到有些同學坐在一旁看書,感覺到校園風氣好和諧.....

睇返之前既Post, 都有人講過呢間學校,不過就見唔到BK有太多家長去討論呢間學校.相信係因為這間不是傳統英中,大部份家長都是外國人吧!

朋友小朋友今年入左, 佢係 band 1尾. 其實佢報左幾間band 1校都收, 但小朋友自己要求讀此校. 佢阿媽又由得佢自己選. 如果ok, 未來我小朋友我都考慮報.

我囡囡學校差不多有十幾個同學仔入讀呢間學校,但佢哋都唔係中國人,所以家長都唔會上BK….

我哋住青衣gar....... 返學比囡囡搭一程校車, 7:06分青衣港鐵站上車, 大約7:40分到.... 8:00 上堂....So far 佢都好習慣!

有幾架巴士在返學時間往來由東涌至YHKCC, 好似係37/38P... 需時大约5-8 分鐘！坐的士要$26-28 左右！

所有學生都要留校食lunch，因附近没有餐廳，最近要去到逸東邨。中一生星期一至四要在Hall 跟老師同校長一齊食。星期五可自己跟同學在Canteen食。至於lunch可自己帶，在tuck shop 買，或每個月頭在canteen pre-order 。

我覺得YHKCC 只不過係外籍學生比例較多既一間直資學校! 同學富唔富貴就唔知,因為直資都可以申請學費資助嗎!

但我諗如果係攞緊綜援既家庭就未必會去讀, 因為除了學費外, 開學駛費都差不多成萬蚊, 之後join 部份課外活動又要錢...... 所以我覺得中產家庭既學生會比較多.

你說得對,因外籍學生較多,所以大部份都會出國升學!

學校係規定學生至少參加兩種課外活動(一動一靜), 好似有成40幾樣比你選擇, 而大部份都不用收費, 但要另外比錢買team uniform! 我個女join 了beat club, volleyball and acoustic guitar! Beat Club & Volleyball 要比錢買team uniform, 而acoustic guitar要比2千幾一年, 一星期上一堂!

我見學校只係公佈5或以上的HKDSE成績，唔知其他考HKDSE的學生怎樣？
功課多唔多？
學校會否「吹谷」成績？
學生方面會否用國藉分黨分派？

我今年冇去Admission Briefing 呀！但去年聽briefing時, 我記得佢好似有講過學生入u 比率，但我已經唔係好記得啲 figure,希望有其他家長去了可以答到你！

功課方面，我覺得唔算係大多。如中史,西史,philosophy and religion studies, 普通话都係一星期一堂，所以你會有成個星期時间去做。而主科中英數就會多啲功課，但都不是花太多時间去完成。

剛剛去了家長日，雖然未到mid-term, 但你都會收到一份progress report. 咁家長可以知道子女在各學科既進度，等我哋可以有個idea, 幫子女好好預備考试！

我囡囡個性比較外向,很易结識到朋友！我見佢既peer group 咩國籍都有: local Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Nepalese, British, Indian etc... 所以應没有用國藉分黨分派既情況。

我再望清楚，中西史係每星期兩堂，其它非主科係一星期一堂！因我見阿女有成個星期時間做，所以我以為得一堂。

是否在Form 4就會將讀 HKDSE和GCE的學生分開兩班上堂？
在School Website 見到,好似Form 5 & 6 先分(HKDSE & GCE)

讀HKDSE是否只有local學生？
我個女讀緊form 1,所以唔知去到Form 4係唔係得local 學生。

and received the offering letter? my son attended the interview 9 Nov but no respone at this moment.
