Incl RC? If fail in written test, still cannot get the offer even pay NR, right ?

作者: clifflam 時間: 13-5-10 00:44
The scheme was launced in Oct 2012 but seats are still available at this moment. Seems it's not very well accepted by parents.

Yes and no; the NR only gives you a priority to interview and it does not guarantee a seat. Sounds like if one buys a NR but the child fails the interview, the NR will be put back for subscription.

If you willing to pay $500,000 NR, means more easy or higher successful rate to get a seat in ESF?

Pay $500,000 for a chance of interview, not a seat.

It should be $400,000 not $50k

Even you do not attend the interview without a valid reason, they will still take away your 50,000 deposit and remove you from the list.

I met a girl she had interview for P2 who used to study international school in Shenzhen had paid that.
The parent think this is worth paying that for the cheaper school fee than their current international school from Shenzhen.

Nomination right is $500k total.
You make a $50k initial payment to buy an interview, if your child passes the interview and you take up their offer, then you pay the remaining $450k to enroll, but if you decline their offer you will forfeit the $50k initial payment. If your child fails the interview you will get the $50k initial payment refunded.
The scheme is clearly explained on ESF's website.

Nomination right is never a must, it is only necessary for those who would not get an interview otherwise.
The interviewers do not know which interviewees got there via nomination right, so every applicant is assessed equally, in other words, $50k will not buy any favourable treatment at the interview. <-- This part is not on ESF's website or any of their official statements, so should be taken as cyberspace hear-say.

I heard the sale of NRs is below ESF's expectation. DC had only sold 5 for 2013 admission! Given they need money so desparately, i would guess the NR holder will have real priority unless their english is really uncomprehensible.
