阿女5歲多啲考mover,13shield.......自己教......個人認為要多做reading嗰 part,有啲較易,有啲較難.....專攻難的部分,如果份份past paper每part都做,好快跌watt

我都覺得最難係grammar（3選1）嗰部份，因為範圍大比較難教。speaking對幼稚園生都有啲難，但多練習也OK。

之前囡囡都係由fun for starters開始，慢慢掌握了之後才做past papers. Movers也是這樣準備，但明顯fun for movers未能cover所有grammar知識！

計我話一是唔考，一考就要操到拒拿十五個盾，方法就是狂做past paper。遇到錯的就教他那些grammar。問題來來去去都是差不多的。

琴日試場所見，考movers的大部份是幼稚園生，連考flyers都有幾個係好細嘅。另一怪現象係d高頭大碼考完出來就話有唔識，反而d細細個嘅就話識晒。真係好得人驚！

只知道最少要在考試當日足5歲，由Starter至FCE,因我兒考有個是小一的蔡繼有學生。而CPE或CAE未知道是否最少足5歲。
但上限應沒有的。因考FCE當日見一個考生應是30多歳的男性。

Fun for movers, past papers都喺各大書局有售。例如商X、三X、中X等……記得買埋CD。也聽說有人在淘寶買大陸版平好多

其實上文小一考 FCE 已經超出 standard, 英文 First language 都未必可以考到 (如果未夠 6 歲)

FCE is about IELTS 6.0, accepted by some universities in the UK. In DSE terms, it is about 2 to 3!!! Attain university level english at the age of 6? Not only normal native speaker cannot achieve this, the children must be talented in language. Not only the children are talented in English, the FCE topics are teen and adult oriented, the children must also know a lot of adult world, like what is it like to work in a company and the emotions around it.

Incredible.

That's why I said Sampapa always privides us with interesting topics for discussion. Just one hing I do not understand. Why he gets to meet all these super gifted, while I cannot come across such exceptionally talented kids though I know a lot of parents & children from schools like St. Paul's Co-ed, DGS, DBS and La Salle?

FCE is the next step after PET, originally designed for teens of 14-15 who are not native English speakers.

Likewise. Recently I met a 6 year-old who attended a normal kinder and about to go to a rather famous primary school. She has good reaction, good Chinese and ok math. However she can't even spell mother despite having been to phonics classes. Nevertheless, it is good to know there are extremely talented kids out there.

正如前面所說，5歲幾考movers拿14/15盾的大有人在。如放張13盾cert落portfolio，恐怕會凸顯了能力不及或只屬above average。

純個人經驗, 不喜勿插,我個女都放張flyer 13盾, 但我覺得對考熱門小學幫助不大, 可能滿分會好啲。佢哋睇面試表現多啲!

如何開始？我認為小朋友應該有以下基礎才開始學Starters: 已認到6-7成Starters list 上嘅英文字，聽得明簡單英文句子／指示，寫英文字清淅／不太慢，能回答簡單英語問題。有以上基礎，做下練習串下字，不用太辛苦便有好成績啦。至於點做到，坊間有好多英語教材嘅，由小培養，不能操之過急

It is difficult to say whether it is enough to cover the mover exam in 4 months. Well, it depends of the capability of the student.

Pls do not push your kids to the limit!
5 year-old is the minimum age for starter I think and only people in Mainland Hong Kong can take that at such a young age for obvious reason - the unreasonably huge demand.

Our kids' brain is not made for practising mock exam papers!
They grow with physical exercise, rest and play! Take a look at the recent development in neuroscience and you know it would be detrimental to your kid's brain if you force him to practise repetitive stereotyped mock papers.

Can you imagine what has happened to a 5 yr-old kid who comes with excellent IELTS or SAT results?

My kid is a native English speaker but I will never push my kid to take the mover or SAT for that matter test at 5 !

Perhaps spending a little more time on playing with your kids will help much more. A emotionally resilient kid is better than a depressed kid with excellent exam scores.
