Will HKU or CU Medical Faculty accept a student who gets 10A or 10A* in IGCSE into MBBS or MBChB?

No.
Interview threshold: 10A* and AS 4A(>90%) for early interview before release of AL result
Interview after release of AL result: 4A* >90%
Admission usually if AL=4A* ( all 4 subjects >>90%, usually >95%)
Some students with 4A* were not granted an interview as real score of their 4A* was not high enough!

In the last Admission talk, the Asso Dean of CUHK Medical School said that for international Qualifications, they aim for students as top 0.5%; for HKDSE, they aim for top 1.5%.

One competes with his fellow applicants from the same education system. It is difficult to tell which one is easier to be admitted. For non DSE qualifications, the admission tutors would assess your qualification based on your education system. If you take IB, they would require you a score at least 41 or 42 out of 45.
For AL students, they require 4 or more AL at 4 stars with index over 95 percentile. For the US system, they require SAT I score at least 2,200 above plus 3 SAT2 subjects with score of 800 or at least 5 AP subjects of score 5.
Given the fact that they admitted the top one to 1.5 percent of DSE students, it appears that it is relatively easier for DSE applicants to be admitted.

Isn't it AP is of higher level than SATII? Why AP needs 5 subjects while SATII needs only 3?

It is correct that AP is a higher level than SAT II.
However, SAT I and SAT II are the college entrance qualification in the USA. As said, the two medical schools in Hong Kong would assess your qualification based on the college entrance requirement of your education system. That is why both schools would admit medical students based on the SAT I and SAT II score.
Having said that, if one could obtain 2,200 or above in SAT1, he is in the top 0.5 to 1% of all the students in his cohort. Further, it is quite difficult to obtain 3 subjects of perfect score of 800 (other than Chinese, which is not considered by the admission tutors). Although SAT II tests are based on multiple choice, you will be deducted certain point for any wrong answer. Usually depending on different subjects, there are 60 to 80 multiple choices to be completed within one hour. If you want to score 800, I am worried that the maximum wrong answer would be around 3. It is quite challenging indeed.
For AP, there is no point deduction for wrong answers in the multiple choices session. Further you will obtain a score of 5 (the highest possible score) with raw marks about 65 to 70 (out of 100), again depending on the subjects. It is relatively "easier" to score 5 in AP than a score of 800 in the same subject of SAT II.

How about other "general" subjects eg. history, biology? (just guess these faculties are not HOT)
What's the least entrance requirement (any subject despite the candidate's interest) to HKU or CU if routing from IB or GCE A levels.

We attended those admission talks, most focus on my son's interest and not attend other programs. I strongly recommend your kid attend those admission talks in different universities, normally from late Sept to end of Oct.
I don't have solid idea about the typical range of different programs based on IB or GCE AL, but I did some graphs based on HKDSE results, which may shed some lights on your questions.

By the way, considering to switch to IB curriculum for him (he is currently under GCE), do you have any idea on IB pts intake {in general} to CU. Perhaps a wild guess... 36? 32? or less?

一位德瑞, 另一位名牌英國寄宿學校, 一位英基的
英基的等緊OFFER, 前兩者, 已有醫學院conditional offer
面試是在上年12月
2月有offer

4月面試, 好多人年紀比較大
所以我估到
是幾類人面試, 是一些有面試的小朋友對我說
1. 英國寄宿學校grade 12,13 學生 , 父母在隔離
2.大部份人的樣較成熟, 有些是讀完uni 的
3. 錯過第一輪12月面試的學生(IB ), 被安排在4月
好多原因, 錯過, 不一定是能力不行
4月面試的學生, 也陸續收到OFFER
港大42分
中大41-42分

通常好似三條，一條個人General, 一條時事，一條ethical。
不過好多條follow up questions and scenario analysis.

For HKU, I know it's 43. PG 45, attachment at QMH.
For CUHK, 41-42. PG 43-45.

This is also what I understand the situation this year.
However, there is one exception. I was told by my friend that her daughter's close friend obtained an offer of IB 36 from HKU (her PG is 45). She is from an IS.

What I heard from professors that they suspected the PG may be overstated for all qualifications, like DSE, and IB.
Also they granted less CO this year, as they expect keener competition of DSE and IB or other qualifications this year, they need to wait and see the actual results before making offers.

I have no idea but I think it should be an CO because UK would not give an unconditional offer unless you have already obtained the qualification which is equal or exceeds the requirement of an usual offer.

I see, some lucky boys/girls last year.
Though they did not admit enough year 1 students last year, the faculty will admit some graduate students this year to fill up the vacancies as advance standing will be granted!
