我囡囡12月BB, 本想做細B試K1先, 但LH offer 又真係好吸引, 又am class, 又近屋企, 學校亦相當不錯. 請問應如何選擇好?

你個女而家進度點? 如果ok 我會比佢讀 k1, 寧願有需要時先 repeat k3。

如果已經同同年比差好遠就梗係 LH PN.

i am not experienced in terms of "big b v small b". But my own experience is my daughter (born in late June) started to learn very fast once she turned 4. So it really proves that children have their own learning pace. A 3 year old child may take 3 months to learn a thing while a 4 year old child can learn the same within 2 weeks. Whilst both did manage to learn the same thing in the end, the 3 year old one may feel very frustrated in the learning process which may have bad long term effect.

I agree with ta_ta. It's better to compare your daughter with other children in her year. There are exceptions where "super small b" may be very mature.

I prefer LH to York.

My son has the same offer (York K1 英普pm & LH PN am). He is studying at another school (英普PN am )right now. He is doing fine & he is the leader in the class. Only because his school is a new school ，驚有收生不足和升小的問題。Mine is oct2010 BB. 好頭疼！

多謝各位mami的意見. We got offer from LH(LV).

囡囡都係聰明主動兼古惑嗰type, 我估佢讀K1都會ok, 所以先至唔想遲一年.

但要佢發展可以ahead一年追到大B, 甚至超大B, 我諗呢一刻未得, trian下可能得但過程會可能好谷好辛苦... 更唔想咁早就磨滅哂佢學習嘅興趣.

唉, 仲煩過當年自己讀書選科!

Hello Tonberi 你好！我囝囝也是2010年12月細B，一心想他做2011年度的超大B。因為想考較理想的直資/私小。

現有德福的英普班IK1 am offer, 也是剛收到紅磡海逸學之園 PN am offer. 都是正在苦惱中，究竟應該試下K1好？還是在LH讀多一年PN 好？？

我嗰case 係重讀PN or not. Repeat PN 有d 浪費時間，但又唔知K1入唔入到.

Hi host, i am also a small b mama, my son was born in Dec 2011.

Can you share experience in applying K1 and PN in the same year? Is it very demanding for kids to attend so many interviews, and are PN and K1 interviews very different?

Since you had york K1 offer already, did you just choose a few KG for application for pn?

I found the different are :

LH - NET + PTH or Cantonese teachers + asst. are long staying with kids.
YORK (Int'l) - Cantonese teacher + asst. are long staying with kids but NET only ready when teaching phonics.

On parents' day.
LH - High transparency of everything.  You feel comfortable and grow with school.  You can speak out & share with your thoughts
YORK - Emphasis their english & Maths cirriculum but no Q&A.

Academic - Believe both schools are enough to support P1.
我只能給兩個女兒既例子 :
大女 : 從來沒有讀過任何CAMBRIDGE英語課程, P1 五月份時已經考到Flyer 13盾.
細女 : 讀緊K1, 這半年的口頭英語退步神速, 我自己也想緊辨法.
