I read from some of the articles here that CCKG only accepts kids from K1 but not from PNs. This really poses quite some problems for those of us who have small babies born from Sep/ October onwards, as most of the top kindergartens do not accept small babies (St Cat, for instance!)

Would some parents with small babies of CCKG be kind enough to share the path your kids have gone through? With St Cat out of the list, which kindergartens do your kids attend in K1, and what do you do with your kids after school to develop the best out of them?

I would be very grateful for some kind thoughts!

我個仔雖然唔係細仔，但都可以比小小意見你。

我囝囝 K1 讀 local 既幼稚園，有學卷，全中文的，當日所交既成績表都係全中文，亦唔係標青。課外英語興趣班就一星期一次，家中就一半中文，一半英文。

How was the interview? The princial asked u questions or ask your son? and, are you and your huband very professional person? like doctor or lawyer?

Are you Christian attending some speical church??

my kid is small B, after Oct. She didn't come from renowned kinder, but she studied in Eng/PTH class when she was at K1.
I think that the most important factor is that kids need to be responsive, and answer the Qs by providing more info.

Showing confidence & independence, I think, r also the main element.

My 2girls are all small B.I think good communication in English is important.and go to Christ church may help.

Yes I speak to my kid in English, though I'm not sure how much he'll be able to capture in the end as all his grandparents, whom he see everyday during daytime, speaks Cantonese. Do you mind letting me know which kindergarten for K1 are you studying? Just want to keep an eye on good kindies that accept small babies! Thx!

They attend a small international kingdergarten in Tai Wai.Kids really from different kindergarten cover the whole honkong.

For the chinese,CCKG also has a high expectation on the kids ,so dont drop his mother language.From last year,they also test the ability of chinese in interview.

CCKG treat the Kids fairlly.The kids birthday spread in the whole year.My big one is Nov,her class still have 4-5 kids younger than her. and my friend kid is the last day of the year.They just compare the kids in the same age.Don't worry so much.

My daughter is also born in November. She is only studying PN this Sep, can she still apply for CCKG this year. Do you know if they only accept kids that have studied in K1? Thanks

I think the test should in Cantonese.Cause they taught the chinese in Cantonese,just very small parts in putonghua like celebration or party.But my younger one's chinese is poor,she told me they ask some chinese questions,maybe she confused sometime.
