小朋友是P５、不過数学追不上、上緊ENOPY,BUT現在我想自己教、請問有没有WORK SHEET/EXERCISE BOOK可推薦？ Exercise book / work sheets that have both operation and word questions.

Book castle or book buddy have a lot but just look don't buy. Order them online from those free international delivery bookshop.

yes, book buddy and book castle are under same group. book buddy got more choices. 唔封書, 可以慢慢睇. 有些搵唔齊, 可以叫sales姐姐check電腦再拿出嚟. 如果vip, 20% off係好抵的.book buddy 最齊最多.
不過, 都要睇你小朋友係英制定美制. 我自己就2樣都會買下. 不外以下幾個hit的publishers
evan moor, 佢有center series, 有everyday series. 版面就最大本. 美制,偏大路, weak foundation就既arm. (btw, evan moor我覺得操英文就好好好. maths麻麻). 本本$100尾-$299不等.....有d $3xx都有.
spectrum, 美制, 有個series寫到明 " excellent tool for standardized test preparation", 好在每個skills會先寫illustration或worked example (個人覺得幾到位, gd!), 再嚟questions. 就 = 1pages. 深佢唔算, 但如果小朋友睇了版頭都做錯, 大人就好易知佢咩原因咩地方唔明. 要嚟搵出佢邊d弱項. 呢本掂. 本本around $100 或100頭
carson-dellosa, 的skill builders series. 細細本. train速度同穩定性同耐性(accuracy), 一流. 因為細本, 一頁約10-12條. 好快就1本.小朋友滿足感大. 本本唔過$50, set 題我覺得佢做得好balance. 有淺. 亦有些真係深的, 如是者就分得出係真勁定係撞彩. 哈哈! 呢本多數塞我仔做晒1本先一次過對answers. 我用嚟測試他的 "數品" 達到何等層次. 因為要做得咁多, 又要做得arm, 又要唔可以hea住做. 錯得多careless mistake佢一定會比我訓話.
rainbow bridge publishing , 的skill builders series. 都係細細本. 價錢本本唔過40. 同carson-dellosa好易分辨. 呢個series係support NCTM standards. 最大分別係, 佢每頁都有短短1個example教點做. 無spectrum做得咁好. 但當係操數做做做. 都ok. 它分grade分各種skills. 針對性操數係幾好.
if, 呢個 if 係frank schaffer publications 既1個series. 全名叫 if - homework booklet. 分grade. 美制. 我個人覺得好悶. set題技巧無其他publishers咁好. 但唔好都會有好的地方. 因為佢出題有點本末倒置. 所以有些題目是tricky的. 買嚟比小朋友挫下佢士氣. 等佢知道睇題目要有d technique (你要解和教佢). 謙虛d...都算係唔錯的選擇. 仲只係$3x 添!
不得不講的. 是flash kids. 細細本flash skills series 分grade. 佢的problem solving 係咁多個publishers中最全面. 咩野題型都有. 如果小朋友睇graph睇data files係弱項. 值得一買. 本本$3x-40.
最後更係唔少得英制的 letts. 有d人like 一份份paper做. 它的SUCCESS assessment papers series 就好好. 佢有分maths, eng, verbal reasoning同non-verbal reasoning . 如果講maths, 佢比美制淺. 講eng, 佢又比美制深. 我覺得non-verbal reasoning 就值得買嚟做maths entertainment. 它有些似enopi的critical thinking. 但深好多. 有d似iq test, 但又淺一點. 要買letts 或者其他英制reference exercises, 去太古城2期1樓近大家樂同屈臣氏中間的hong kong圖書公司就算係齊又多. 有時esf學校的PTA membership card去買書都有折的.
仲有其他的....btw, enopi都好好的. 我仔都有學. 學了4年....3歲未夠就學. 培養做數的"修養"是好好的.
操數, 最好做完1本, 先嚟第2本. 唔好買幾本, 再本本做d...
打了太多....唔好意思.

我小朋友也是y5，我也是自己教。我用學林出版的數學英文版，教word problem 不錯。另外我也買一些星加波出版的。

Chickchick, thank you very much for your information. Do you mean I can get all the books you suggested above at Book Buddy? ENOPY我都覚得好的、但就是老師D英文好水皮、解釈得好差、本身女女就已経不喜歓数学的了、経這位英文本桶水老師教導下、次次都不想番ENOPY. 之前在另外一個CENTRE学了差不多一年、都没事的。

Thank you Cherubic, will hv a look. CHerubic是抜尖OR補底？ 会不会教得好辛苦？ 因為一般小朋友都是聴老師話、不聴父母話的。 我小朋友就連化日数、小時、分/秒鐘都覚得好難明白。

My son's Maths was not good. We have checked Enopi and other centres and found that those only provide Maths exercise with insufficient guidance. So we decided to teach him ourselves. My husband and I are good at Maths so we do not feel this job is difficult. My suggestion is:-
1) At the beginning, give your kid some easier exercise so that she can gain some confidence.
2) Do not assign the kid with lots of exercises. We usually ask my son to do 3 problems a day, and if they are all correct, he would not need to do exercise of that category. This will make him try hard in doing the 1st 3 problems.
3) Explain the questions using pictures as far as you can. Almost every Math problem can be explained in a picture. Encourage your kid to think it using pictures.

I recommend Singapore national curriculum materials, including eng, math, science, etc.

Can try Singapore math or Saxon math if you want a curriculum.
Another alternative is Khan Academy which has both video with instructions and exercises

yes, you can find all of them @book buddy.
係香港....很多bookshop已經比強人佔領. 絕大部份都封書封得好嚴緊! 有時叫staff開封比我, 開得多都有點唔好意思~~
enopi, 老師的英文是重要的. 因為分分鐘老師英文比學生英文oral還差.... 老師有愛心耐心係bonus, 但lang唔得就最好轉班. centre有好多老師的, 轉另1個老師吧. so far我仔enopi個miss 英文唔知點...但呀仔無話聽唔明(聽唔明 = miss講野英文一舊舊). enopi 如果係補底, 係唔夠的.但老師會講出佢有咩唔得 (+自己觀察). 就自己再搵exercises操數. 話拔尖, 佢又唔會喎, 但就一路幫小朋友打好foundation和學態度, esp"大頭蝦"的地方, 只要老師講1句....勝過我們講10000000000句.
enopi平平地, week week有4本 + 1個hr, 算係有益身心的課餘活動. 點解"玩"個頁係尾二? 我有稔過, 就係要鼓勵佢地先做好前面勁多數學題....我仔做到尾2果頁玩block玩shape就好開心.
我不知你女兒level幾多, 但回想起我仔以前做lv13-lv15呢段basic. 老師要佢做完1次, 就幾個月後再要佢做當係revision. 我仔做到唉唉聲, 因為乘數3位x3位...即係1條數做3次...但的確accuracy係明顯高出好多好多. 家陣剛過level 18尾 算係輕鬆好多. 但criticial剛去lv 18頭就深... 我大人都要稔稔先做到. 唔好放棄, enopi我覺得係好野嚟架, 做數的attitude好緊要, 過得到接受了自然會愛上(唔驚)數學又多又深的中學課程.
其實拔尖又好, 補底又好, 都要2者並行的. 所以我自己就會我仔肯做幾多, 就比幾多(托賴, 佢肯做好多好多, 做得津津有味). 只要令佢愛上數學, 去到中學就會煩少80%學業.....
enopi外, 還可以參加standford的maths. 也是一個好的選擇.

我是在 Page 1 買那些 grade level 的綜合練習給囡囡“補充”的，$100 三百頁，超抵。
另外，數學我都係自己教，暫時我囡低年級，所以學科的好淺，我買了本 Maths Olympiad 教佢做，奧數“轉下彎”，比較有趣，佢明白左識做，也有成功感。

Forgive my ignorance, why do a kid in IS still need math private tuitions ? There are pressure from school or you want your kids to achieve great scores ? I heard many ISs do not encourage private tuition , yet many kids do have private tuitions. Please share your experience . Many thanks

你可以先選二至三套 練習，然後把 grade 4,5,6 一次過買哂。
先看看囡囡那些 topic 比較易上手。如果她不太喜歡 computation ,可
先做 statistic ， translation or 圖形。
IS 喺 statistic 同 shape 係教得比LS 仲深同快。
我提議每個 topic 也由 G4 一次過教到P6. 唔好分開教，其實同一 topic
G4去G5 or G6 差好小。佢見到原來G6 都唔係好深時，自信心
就返哂嚟。然後你先再教其它topic .
我用開 popular 套 maths smart : 係加拿大課程，比教淺又彩色。啱初
初用。
我將小學課程教了我小朋友三次。第一次用 maths smart ,第二次用 maths smart 黑白嗰套，呢套深D,然後再用 Singapore SAP 出版嘅（呢套好深下）
。完成哂就再買 TSA P6 paper 比佢做。
我大約用了三年完成（由p1 做起），我小朋友同你一樣𠵱家G5 , 他現在在學校上數學堂已經充滿信心了。希望你也快成功吧！

再講多点、不是所有国際学校都好似FINLAND個D GUM,話No students should be left behind. 我是在一個SUMMER HOLIDAYS前老師同我講: Your child really needs to catch up. I am not in the position to say this but may be you can consider joining Kxxxn over the summer. Just have a try.......我才醒左！！

I apologize if I have offended anyone. I have to confess that my kids are still young (4-6 years old). The approach of my son's schools is to give more support to the academically weaker students. Students of different capabilities have different school works and home works. I also learnt from the websites of some ESF schools that they do not encourage private tuitions. I have been resisting the temptation of helping my son's maths, because I want the school to know his weakness and help him. I can teach him the smarter techniques if I want (I studied second-year maths subjects in the university). But, it may not help him to UNDERSTAND and build the foundation for more abstract maths concept in the future. I also attended the information session of CIS and the very experienced school principal said they teach the maths slowly as compared to local schools and those who struggled with the maths in early years and finally understood the concepts can have long term benefits to their maths solving skills. Please share your thoughts. Thanks

The CIS's school principal said some students with good memory just memorize the maths techniques/answers, but lack the understanding of the concepts

其他IS 有的购买指定website 要求孩子按程度没天上网练习的,听闻十分有趣味的, 孩子比较愿意自学自做吧! 会找其他家长取有关website 后转告. 记得个别ESF也应有类似的教程.

Thanks for sharing your experience. As I said, I had limited hands-on experience with IS. I thought only local schools would ask students to take private tuitions.

找prviate tutor 来离补孩子的暂时的不足,是父母的责任. 愈快愈好.
女女非常非常抗拒数学, 是小朋友心态, 简单是情愿你觉得我stubborn, 都唔要比你知我唔够聪明. (露底就伤左自尊了),只要快速帮助女女重沓Yr 5 的平均水平, 那些抗拒感便很快消失呢!(小女的普通话也曾经是这样熬出来的,当然明白'非常抗拒').
尝试跟孩子定约, 做适量的练习开始, 外间有IS 老师补数, 收费奇高, 短时间还可以, 长期的负担便很重了. 如果有高年级的IS 孩子合适帮忙, 大家鬼声鬼气, 效果应该唔错的, 可以四围八吓问街坊吧!

要正視问题，老師對學生的學術成績一般要求唔高，好少叫學生在外補習，InCAS成績如何？可以係對她水平的一個指引。不要太緊張，或太過迫她，試問她那個topic不懂，由她想做的那個topic開始一起做些練習，有了信心和興趣，才可慢慢加上去
