Surely every school will show you the best on open day/ interview days. The students you met on the interview days should be chosen by the school and they are of course very good in English and Mandarin. I'm not sure about other students but my girls only join writing class outside school (not oral), I suppose she was well trained in kindergarten and at home. You may expect other students' oral in general are not as good as those you met on the interview days. 補習will not make you good at a language, you need the apporpriate language environment to achieve that.

.Support from parents is important. It does not necessarily mean補習 but to provide the suitable language environment for the kids. E.g. we likes to watch TV programmes from Pearl, join English musical classes or other English programme organised by some DSS/ IS during summer holidays. It's an on-going process.....
