We have offers from both schools- my daughter is an only child, no younger siblings- apart from religion which is the better school for character development and general happiness. I don't know why, but whenever I see st stephens girls on the street they seem to be happy, but the sh girls look abit stressed- is that my imagination??

據我所知聖心讀書壓力大好多,SSG就頭二年都唔駛考試,咁學習上會輕鬆少少

Thank you all- acutally I'm an old girls at SSGPS, but only studied there from P1-P3. Can't really remember what it was like as we emigrated to Australia and I only came back 6 years ago. We just want to choose a school quick, so at least we can release one of the spaces to people on waiting list. We live on conduit rd, so travelling to both schools would be ok- just abit worried about the level of homework and tests- does anyone know if the workload is alot for Sh am section?

About the quantites of homeworks, both schools are more or less the same.  Students of SSGPS can do the homework at school in the afternoon but SHCS(PS) students cannot.
SHCS(PS) have more quizzes(the marks are not counted on the term report). 3 tests on Engish, 2 tests on other subjects  and 1 examination are on each semester at SHCS(PS).  At SSGPS, 1 test and 1 examination are on each semester.
Dictation at SSGPS is very very simple.
Even SSGPS does not have test/examination at P1 and P2.  Students still attend the accessment and its format is similar to the test/examination.
The pressure at SHCS(PS) is visual since they are take the format of continuous accessment.  The pressure SSGPS is that there is an informal prestige class after P3.
Above all, the pressure at both school is not high as they both have a high promotion rate to their feeder college.

I can comment on scared heart as my girl studied for one year. Many quizzes every day ( I don't like it as most of the time is spent on test, less for teaching) my friend whose girl is p5 now studies there since p1 and said more than half of her classmates left the school over the last five years ( my girl also p 5 now). If u are looking for a happy school, it's not your cup of tea.

小女2013年小一，我去年去過參觀open day. 對St. Stephen Girl's.印象十分深刻。
因為學生活潑開朗，（女校竟有學生敢在走廊跑步！），在班房張貼的小一英文功課不算深，小六又有番應有的水平。而且小班教學，有聯繫band 1英中。我又睇過有報導校長曾表示不會學其他聖公會名校轉直資，私校，為的是要服務經濟冇咁富裕的一群。(雖我當日開放日見到D女仔，開朗活潑之余，不失禮貌，估計家境不差）

我因不住中西區，只得15分，不敢搏。但對我來講，此校是我的dream school.

我小朋友是st Stephen's girl. 每個學期一測一考（數學多一次測驗），默書不是每個星期默，默書成績也不計入成績表，所以都算輕鬆。功課量不算多，抄寫功課尤其少，考試成績沒有排名，也沒有精英班，小朋友之間競爭唔大。課外活動多，幾著重音樂，表演的機會很多。就我所見，大部分囡囡都好outgoing ，而且cheerful。hope this information can help u.

Is your friend's info credible?

My daugther is P6 now. Those 140 girls entered the school that year only around 20 girls left within these years.

我以前以為有，阿女去年小四重新分班時，學校將全級頭十名的學生平均分成兩班(因佢地全部揀普教中)，到而家嗰兩班的成績都差唔多，所以我唔覺得有精英班。政策有冇變過，我就唔敢講。

聖心是否你們說的那麼可怕？轉校是否只是有學生“另謀高就”？
我小女有聖心offer，也有九龍塘學校和宣道offer, 聽完後我都唔知揀唔揀聖心好。。。。

SSGPS for sure.
(1) No school fees
(2) Less pressure - both child and parents
(3) Happy learning
(4) Teachers are very nice

St Stephen Girls is whole day primary school with more time to extending to other learning. Sure, they don't focus too much on academic curriculum. Happier for sure.

Both schools are very good schools. It is very difficult to compare. St. stephen Girls College will be in the DSS system soon. So parents have to pay school fees when their children are promoted to secondary section.
