我有朋友已收到Kingston 2013年playgroup面試通知，但我仍未收到，請問有其他人收到嗎？面試內容是怎樣的？另外，請問Kingston家長對學校評價如何？

Kingston面試好似是first come first serve
你朋友應該比你早遞form
聽講kingston是有位先會發面試信，所以有面試就多數會收
有錯先改正

They sent out some interview invitations as early as last year. But they are continuously sending out more. The format of the interview is one on one, with head teachers. They may ask the child some questions, depending on the age of the child. Minirat is right that their interview is pretty much a guarantee for offer as long as you don't blow it.

報名表無問家長教育程度。而工作牌面看都好難分出高下（雖然我朋友一家收入肯定多過我地）。

出世個零月時報，仲等緊…….

不過要交7.2萬入會費（non-refundable），如果讀幾個月不滿意或搬屋或其他原因退學就唔底啦！

雖然Kingston口碑好似幾好，如果收，我都打算讀完成個幼稚園（攤分4年，一年1.8萬，都仲可以），但you never know. 在Kingston的家長，同報咗名的，你地真有甘大信心？

我囡囡讀2歲班，囝囝會係8月讀pg，即係我都要交7萬2，但我認為值得。
囡囡仍未滿3歲，讀得好開心，但自理及雙語能力很好，老師和職員記得每個孩子，幫手照顧孩子的嬸嬸亦很友善。
總言之，我本人對學校很滿意。

1．你孩子小學和中學部署如何？kinder畢業一般到邊間學校？多少會留在Kingston小學？小學畢業的去邊？

2．家長一般家境如何？

3．學生大多來自本地家庭，學生英語離native多遠？還是接近local school多的？

Kingston 的家庭來自世界各地, 德國, 加拿大, 美國, 台灣都有...
我個囡上緊playgroup, 老師教得好好, 又細心, 個個小朋友都好鐘意學校!

我真的沒很留意學生升學情況，有次家長會學校曾提及該年學生有升讀原校、esf、rc...(國際學校較多)，亦有個別考入傳統名校。而我就選國際學校這條線。唔係原校升讀，並唔係k小唔好，只係佢既中學實在太遠(沙頭角)，如果讀完小學才考其他國際學校，又會因學位太少更難考入。

坦白講，以佢學費水平，我想多數學生來自中產或以上水平吧！
至於英語能力，你想跟那類local 學校比較呢？我會話，這樣小的孩子，能夠隨時轉台用流利英/普跟老師或同學交談，已很好很好了吧！

I have done the interview and i guess i am in, as the officer already explained details of parent orientation day. I need to decide in the next few days whether to part with the 72000.

Thanks for those parents replying to my short messages, what about other parents of kingston? Any strengths and weaknesses i need to consider? And, why do you choose kingston over anfield and TT (in particular TT since it seems quite comparable to kingston)? Thanks.

If you have decided to send your child to international school, Kingston is the best option.
My son did his kindergarten from 2years old to 4 years old, he can get a place from ESF, we are still deciding if we would keep him in Kingston for primary school or ESF.

Kingston is a very good school for Traditional Chinese teaching in Putohua, they have great teachers.

My son loves his school so much that he is not happy having school holiday.

一間學校好唔好，其實係睇父母想法…

我大仔讀esf kinder 英文會話好好, 但普通話就好差，無心機學中文. 而且esf kinder 好自由，老師好少同家長溝通。

而家我個細女讀kingston pg, 英文同普通話發展得好平均。老師好細心温柔，記得晒小朋友的大小問題。每朝返學，學校主任一定係門口，每兩星期，老師都會寫comment, 整間學校都管理得好好!

Yes. You won't be able to get it back. But it's your choice, the school usually send the kid straight to two year old and kindergarten classes.

Hi Minirat, I recall I did apply Kinsgton 2 yr N-class. need to be back to office and check. Kingston vs Anfield, what do you think?

Kingston seems very good. I like their emphasis on bilingual development and small class size. However they are way too expensive after taking into account the high school fees plus non refundable capital levy. If our plan is to study there for the complete kindergarten years, then it will seem more worthwhile after spreading out the capital levy over 4 years. However if we are lucky to secure a spot at SIS for PY1, it will mean studying at Kingston for only 2 years. I did submit application to Kingston as contingency option but at quite a later stage, so I dont think we will get a offer anyway.

No. Nothing. Of course you can call to check if they have received it, and whether u stand a chance ( it is pretty much first come first served at least for PG so they should be able to answer)

Have u visit YC before apart from Kingston. My friend commented that the school room size of YC is pretty small and the some facilities have worn out already.

I wonder if it will be better at Kingston?

YC kinder has several premises. Some are quite spacious with lots of outdoor areas, but some are small and pretty worn out. Unfortunately, the one for PG shown to us is the latter.

The one at kingston is more spacious and newer than the PG rooms of YC. However, some facilities at certain premises of YC is comparable to Kingston. The largest one, at the junction between dorset road and waterloo road, could arguable be at least as good or even better (large outdoor area).

When did you apply? I did the application when my boy was four months and school told it was already a bit late. I was told I would only have chance if those parents with offer subsequently gave up. They said they would call parents if there is a slot. Interview for PG would usually be ok and the kid is too small, not much could be tested.
I prefer Kingston. A friend's kid was studying at TT before, she is generally satisfied with TT. Her kid now in CKY

Kingston's facility is pretty good. The classrooms are decent size, I don't find them cramped at all. But their outdoor space is limited. This applies to both their kindergarten and primary school (at least P1-P3).

R u going to PN 2014? You should have better chance if did the application when your boy was 2.5 months. School said my case still had a chance but the offer, if had, would only be PM. Other than Kingston, I also applied Tutor Time, Anfield and Yew Chung. Now I will only use Yew Chung as a fallback as one parent said I bad-mouthed the school albeit I never. And there are some disputes over the school recently, you might check my posted topic.
